You think the Oasis are comfy? You should check out the lenses from a brand called Biofinity.
They have the highest Silicon Hydragel content of any lens, and are by far the most comfortable lenses I have ever worn. I was previously wearing Acuvue 2, and then the Oasis as well. They are also a monthly lens, so tend to stay comfier and cleaner a little longer.

I love them.

How much higher is it? Oasis are 63% IIRC. More silion hydragel  is fine by me! mine get uncomfortable after ~12 hours, and after a week, theres no way i can wear them over night. How much did you pay for hte biofinity compared to your oasis (im paying $150 for 6 boxes)

3) Peripheral vision may be compromised.

Hell peripheral vision doesn't even exist with glasses.

It does if they wrap around.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I don't bother riding with glasses for 3 reasons.

1) Can be uncomfortable.
2) They may fog up.
3) Peripheral vision may be compromised.

1) major fitment issue when I was shopping for my 1st helmet. for me, arai made for painless interaction w/my oakley A-wires

2) the cleaner I use has really good anti-fog properties, but it don't get cold here

3) not w/oakley A-wires, or the like. they wrap well, since they ARE a sporty, sunglass frame.

been meaning to replace my glasses, since mine are pretty dang old... iirc, oakley was just breakin' into the Rx thing at the time. I just went and bought sunglasses and had clears put in.

but anyway. any new pair I'd want to wear on the bike, I'd test fitment w/my lid before buying.

lasik is nice, but the glasses make me look smrt  ;D

i was thinking more along the lines of generic glasses. the wrap around one are okay. the curvature on the lens really distorts things IMHO. Then again going from months of contacts to glasses all of a sudden also makes the whole world look like a skate boarding video to me.

I also have a pair of normal, flat, glasses, and those IZ_ peripheral edges are VERY noticable after wearing wrapped glasses for so long. kinda makes me wonder why I switched back to 'em lol

i use apair of industrial safety glasses with a medium tint ...bifocal..really work well..full tint visor daytime at night flip the visor up

i look goofy with helmet off but with the helmet on the arms are perfect

I just wear my glasses.  I have two different clear lens frame combos and a pair of Maui Jim's wrap prescription sunglasses.  I have no problems with peripheral vision.  I do have a problem with fogging in the cold, but that is fixed by just not stopping. [thumbsup]  I also rarely ride with the visor down, except on the slab.

I have never worn contacts and figure they would just be a huge pain on a motorcycle, and all my other outdoor activities.
996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken

Interesting, I never even realized the peripheral vision problem w/ glasses.  [roll] I can still things moving and then turn to focus on them. I think I'll go try this out right now on my way to get food.

I did like a couple other people did and took my helmet to get my glasses - without riding.  ;D They look at you funny but whatev. I just answer their quizzical looks with the truth and then then laugh and realize how much sense it makes.
ErkZ NOT in SLO w/ his '95 m900!
The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!
