Lane Splitting in TX

not sure i'd do it if allowed. I filtered to the front of an intersection when traffic was backed up last week. y'know, just idled between the lanes of traffic up to the red while nobody was moving. When the light changed to green, the guy at the front of the line FLOORED IT and cut me off, not sure the point he was trying to prove since I had not inconvenienced him in the least. If anything, I'm helping congestion considerably. He literally tried to run me down.  I do know that if he had been a little closer, you'd see your first Ducati on the First 48.

I know what you mean. I was at a light the other day on Legacy and this guy moved up to the front of the traffic on his motorcycle. I was caging it that day due to the wind. Anyways, this crazy lady on her cellphone floored it right when the light turned green and almost hit the poor guy. She hit her horn for about 30 seconds while after him. He didn't inconvenience her at all. She was just being a b@#ch! I was in my minivan and let her know how stupid she looked doing what she did.....she almost threw her phone at me. I asked her what she would have done if she had accidentally killed the guy. She just looked at me with a totally stupid face.

Might've asked "What if you scared that guy shitless, he viewed your actions as quite hostile, and shot you. or your kids. let it go bertha, let it go"

Road Rage is real. People in cars have a huge deadly weapon. You "charge" at a guy on a bike, I'd be pretty sympathetic (depending on the facts) if he felt threatened and defended himself.

No way I could lane split on the Hyper...those lengthy bars with mirrors on the end combined with two bubba's on either side riding in Ford F250 King Ranch's equals disaster.
