Cane toads are toxic.  They were introduced here from... Central America....  by some bloody genius who thought they'd be good at controlling sugar-cane-eating beetles.  The beetles survive and... the toads prolifically outcompete native species and are now a far greater pest that the beetles they were imported to control  .

Hopefully Enzo chewed a different toad variety or didnt get too much of a chomp down on the bugger.

Thanks all for the well being wishes, he's being carbon detox and is now on a mix of IV drip and anti-venom, it seems the one I described it was indeed poisonous, could be deadly if not treated on time as I did . . . he'll spend the night at the hospital, doc couldn't believe he weighted 35lbs and almost no body fat . . .

went to purchase my 25lbs gas can so I can cook now complete meals and not light up the small Weber bbq to cook everything . . .
