Working on updating my resume and assembling something that I hope will resemble a portfolio when I'm finished.

Looking for greener pastures where ever in the US they will take me.

I am job hunting in 3 states. I am so bored with my life. I have no ties to Seattle and would leave in a heartbeat if I could.

There were 5 of us plus the crane operator...one was a 90 pound girl that can outwork her brothers any day of the week, but doesn't like heights too much.

The walls are ~18' high.

I was the only one that had ever set trusses before besides the crane operator.

It rained all day.

You really had to be there. ;)

Soon!

Condo will sell and you will be free!

(Like I might be free of a job this week.)  [laugh]

Diva, if you haven't already, check with Fresh Pants to get his take on the job market in your field out this way.  Just a selfish thought since it would be nice to have more DMF'ers here.

Pretty sure Mary will be here.  Right Mary?!

Not really...

Our bid to purchase some vacant land in the city on which we would have put down more roots did not workout and we are both bored with our jobs/not really doing what we want.

He is my only tie here.  All of my family is in VT and won't visit.  Two of B's son's are here, but we don't see them that often.  We can count the times we've seen the grandchildren on one hand.  They (the sons) spend more time with their mother.

We would love to live in a bit warmer climate and have some topography.

VT is too cold and $$$.

I think you guys should sell most all your stuff, buy an enclosed trailer for your bikes and tow it with a decent rv. Drive somewhere, camp out for a few weeks and ride. See various parts of the country, research job markets and hopefully find a good one that's also in an area of the country you like.

Well one of you job hunters should move into the house across the street and clean the place up. The meth people just stole parts from the engine bays in two of the Chevys parked over there.

I hate Meth.

I also wish the owner would sell, move in, or rent the place. After a while there's not going to be anything left to steal.

The house next to me on this side of the street just went up for sale too. Their place is pretty decent. Scotts division got Transferred out to N. Carolina so they have to be gone by the end of the year. Hope someone decent buys the place.
