It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Just got home from my first track day yesterday.  Bike is unloaded, bag unpacked, gear put away.

Now it's time for a nice hot shower.  Riding that hard made me sore!   [moto]

Man was that fun!  Pics to come soon.   [thumbsup]

Have a fabulous Tuesday everybuddy...

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

telling someone who is behind on their bills and has no money that they are making things worse on themselves by not paying is not the best way to get a positive response.

they are the greatest playground to fark with....you need to answer the phone as if you are the debtor's brain-damaged brother put on your best creepy tard voice...whiny and nasal...tell them he (you) can't come top the phone because he is in the tub with his dolls and you are not allowed to disturb him or he will make you "do the bad thing again"

I'll swear when I was done with a few of my son's and daughters collectors over the years they probably had to go shower themselves and have their ears and psyches flushed...making someone really hate their job to the point of self-loathing is good for the soul...especially if you are unemployed
This is an insult to the Pez community

There are things you can-I'll see if I can find the links. If you catch them right, you can drag them to small claims court for a decent penalty (which you get).

Remind me, 'cause I'm a tard.

if this is the hospital pestering you...

You have options.

If your income is limited enough it's possible they can write off all or part of your debt. Start with the ombudsmans office.

You'll have to qualify to get help from them.

If that doesn't fly, pay $20 a month, or whatever amount is reasonable to you. They can't come after you or send you to collections. There is also no interest. Even if you owe them 6 figures you're safe as long as you pay something each month on a regular basis.

At some point they will negotiate away your remaining debt in exchange for a lump sum payment. They will be long since tired of mailing you bills.

For example: I had a cyst cut out of my hand 4 years ago nit cost like $15,000. My insurance payed most but I was on the hook for like $3000. I paid $20 or $25 a month for a long while on two different bills involved with that procedure.

My ex wife forgot to keep paying one of them and it went to collections. I found out by talking with them that they are preauthorized to settle for half your bill with no black mark on your credit.

:D

instant discount.

When the other bill got down to about $550 I called up and offered them $200 to settle. She himmed and hawed about how that was less than half.

I told her my income was directly tied to manufacturing (comission, I omitted the part about my base salary) and that things were down 50%, which they were and that that was what I could do.

She took the deal.

Food for thought.

unfortunately the one that is really causing the stress is the bike loan.

ML - i'm pretty sure i don't qualify for the limited income discount.

i'm thinking i might have to get rid of kath in order to save myself some money. things would be MUCH easier if she would just find another freaking job already.

i coudln't advertise her. that would be like human trafficking and would get me arrested.

Then you wouldn't have to worry about paying for your bike.
