Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

correct.

I did decide to use a frost wall on the recommendation of several experienced people.

One had the experience of trying to sell a building without a 'foundation'. Lenders were running for the hills.

Smart peeps.

There is also a "shallow frost protected foundation" that may have worked, but again, it isn't that well known and may make the banks nervous.

I'm just gonna go with a conventional footing and 4' wall. I need to get some prices from concrete guys to decide if I have it done or if I DIY with ICFs. My design does not make the best use of the inso on the inside of ICFs, but if I can save some money that will be the way I go.

Since the floor will be polished and stained concrete I may have that done by pros

I would think the ICF route would be the cheapest, unless you have a friend in the business.

i actually scored a goal last night. i was as suprised as anyone.

my team bought me drinks to celebrate.

a friend was laid off again (actually the 3rd time in a few years) and she came over so i could keep her company and get her drunk. i'm not going to work today.

i might be a bit too old to do these things midweek.

I have contacts in pretty much all the building trades and will use them all, but I don't really know anyone that is doing concrete now.

Is there another way?  :P

I'd be foolish not to.

There is also a plan for doing that and DHW with solar. Money will determine if it's done initially or added later. All the provisions will be in place.
