Never saw a Koala, but our Unimog driver swerved off into the roadside bush to avoid running over an Amethystine Python.  It was pretty cool, both the driver's will to NOT harm the snake and seeing it!

It is, the Glen Shiel road leading to it is one of my favourites for a summer day out on the bike.

I like critters more than people.....   if I remember my 30 years ago biology class, they are marsupials and not bears.  But Kola bear sounds just so right lol.
