Found a Huey for a quick pic.  No sign of Louie or Dewey.

Still a great bike but soooo uncomfortable... ;D

Took a run up to Monticello yesterday...beautiful fall day in the low 70s although it was a bit chilly starting out.

Looking across the James River to downtown Richmond

I was hoping to get  a pic of the bike with Monticello but they don't allow vehicles.  Nonetheless, if you have a chance to see Thomas Jefferson's house, it's worth it.

On the way home passed a huge lumber yard...

Had a busy weekend on the bikes with Chicago Ducati Riders club. Took the Monster down to the lakefront for the Club Pic on Sat (because face it she is the better looking of the two bikes) and then took the Diavel out for 290 mile ride through some winding backroads in Wisconsin to enjoy the fall colors (because I'm too old to ride for more than 2.5 hours on the Monster  >:(  ) I did wish I had the Monster on some of the twisty sections but the Diavel corners surprisingly well and had no problem smoking some of the sport bikes on the straight aways. Super fun!!  [Dolph]

Is it wrong to be aroused by the turns on that road?   [drool]

HUNDREDS of miles of that within a 75 mile radius of here. Your canyons are highly overrated.  ;D 8)

We have some fantastic roads here in Nor-Cal.  Seldom though do you see one with such well engineered corners.  [evil]

Not sure where headhunter lives down here but you only need to look at Journeyman's many snaps of twisties in NC. VA also does a great job with roads which intersect or parallel the Blue Ridge Parkway. Frost heaves are also relatively rare, so it's probably easier for them to keep these up. I'm too old to ride them really fast. A light, nimble 600 would probably be the ticket. Something easy to toss. Maybe a dual-sport.

Drove UP Rt. 56 the other day in a car and even that was a workout. The maps don't begin to show all the tight twists and turns and ups and downs.   :'(  http://binged.it/1wEpJh2 And riding DOWN that thing would be mildly suicidal!  [roll] Zoom in and look around...

yes its great to live here for bikes (mountains of NC) and  its ok to be aroused but if thats the case and you come up here to ride, bring extra underwear  8)
