Hope everyone had an enjoyable & safe Thanksgiving. (The day where we Americans celebrate robbing the joint from the natives and continuing a tradition of over-eating.)

No activity here since the 1st. Has the cold weather frozen all your fingers?

Read 'em & weep: Barb & I have been in Cape Coral, FL since Dec 27. Temps mostly in the 70's and now we're in a mini-heat wave, with afternoon temps getting into the high 80's.

But, you all can gloat because....   It has not been an enjoyable visit yet. I'm pretty much over being sick, but Barbara has been miserable and probably has a week to go till full recovery. I've been super-busy with work 10 hrs a day in front of a laptop  and/or on the phone.

In the end, if you're going to be sick or busy, better off in the sub-tropics than the cold North or West.

Cold frozen our fingers?  Perhaps.   :-\

Glad you're in the warm and your both getting well, Nic.  I've been sick since the Friday before Christmas and I think I'm finally getting over it.  Blech.  We're supposed to be in the lower 30s for high temps for the next week or so.  Maybe it's time for an Italian vacation!?!

Can one of you folks turn the thermostat up a few dozen degrees, please?

I hear a massive blizzard hit the Northeast. Barb and I had conveniently decided to stay in Cape Coral a while longer.

It was not a difficult decision: We had planned to drive north last week, but checked the weather. So while temps are in the 80's here, we had nearly 30" of snow in our little part of NY.

As I have said before, we welcome company here. We will probably be here for several months next year, sp think about it.
