Trying some more riding movies, this time at night.

That one made me homesick.  Reading all the interstate signs, it's like I was still down there.   :'(

Nic, What are you doin' over on the general forum rufflin' their feathers?

They're a bunch of punks... They deserve it.   so i hear

Scottish & I know nothing about that.   [roll]

I promise to make better mistakes tomorrow.

KB- When you get to be my age, you tend not to give a flying flack about other people's opinions. Anyway, I'm not aware of rufflin' feathers, but- do I care?

On a serious note,  and I know you full-time Albuquerquians made be jaded about the whole Balloon Fiesta thing, but do any of you actually attend? We've been to several Mass Ascensions and will be going Sat morning (it's the Princess' wish).

I actually have a video from 1998 on a att personal web page that I have to go and find.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

Dusty & I do early morning breakfast (I love to cook) at our friend Karen's house 3 or 4 times over the Fiesta.  She lives a 1/2 mile south of the field.  If anyone wants to come over for some good eats let me know.

I found the video, shot in VHS in '98.

http://nicrosato.home.att.net/balloonfest.html

You'll notice that I refer to Balloon "Fest", not "Fiesta". Also, I obviously didn't know how to increase the size of the video window. I haven't touched that webpage in 8 or 9 years.

I also like to cook (the Italian in me, I guess). We've actually done a little catering here in ABQ. Well, actually, I guess you call it personal chef service because we prepared the meals at the client's home. This avoids all food handling regs.

Some years back, we catered an opening downtown for a show by a local artist named Michael Flowers.

For all you late-night people: A plug for the "Coffee Express" on KUNM, a weekly 2-hour radio show (1AM to 3AM) Friday mornings hosted by Barb's son Craig.

Thanks for the invite....Pam and I enjoyed your company....not to forget Keith, DucMouse and Dolores [thumbsup]

I have not seen one balloon this weekend.

I passed on Mass Ascension yesterday because I woke up with a headache (I get one every few years) and decided to sleep in.

I'm not sure if I will over to the Balloon Park at all this year. I'd rather ride.

thanks so much for joining us. It was great to see you all. I will post some pics when I can. We didn't see any ballons yesterday as they all went north and hung low in the sky. Today some of them launched from the field just a few blocks away and flew right over us. Very beautiful.

Nic just be careful if you are riding and there are some up in the air. Lots of people get very diatracted.
