WTF is a decorder ring? Maybe I need one anyway....

[laugh]

I'm guessing it takes the things that are recorded and decords them. ?   Just a thought...  8)
Sometimes when you say no, you really mean YES, that is why we have the safe word.. "FLÜGGÃ...ÆŽNKâˆ,â,¬ÄŒHIÅ'βØL∫ÊN"  If at any time the pleasure is too much, simply say the safe word, and we will stop"

Back in NY... Besides the fact it's very green here compared to ABQ, and also very humid, it was the scream of the seagulls this morning that made me realize where I was. Anyway...

My latest thought is that I should have my '01 M900 out in New Mexico. It's better at the type of riding I'm trying to do there with you all- it's quicker and more agile than the '97. So, now I'm thinking I may ride it out there in the Spring, then ride the '97 to Florida and leave it there. I'm trying to sell my '97 H-D Superglide that's in FLA now. The last thing would be to buy something I could use as a commuter here in NY.

This plan gives me 7 or 8 months to gather some money.

I'm really liking the idea of a (nearly) cross-continental ride. maybe in April or May. Spend some time in ABQ, then ride on over to Cape Coral. Of course, it would be ideal to buy a bike in Florida and ride it north.

But, I'm thinking about my buddy's 916 as my NY bike.

Decisions, decisions...

Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

nicrosato

As an invitation, would any of you consider riding from New Mexico to Florida next spring? Of course, you'd have to ride back alone, as I will go north one way or another.

You've been my Hero since we met, Nic.  Nic's my Hero 'cause he's so brave and strong.

(I hope someone else remembers the Sylvester the Cat cartoon where he takes the Jeckyl/Hyde potion and roughs up Chester the Bulldog.....just sayin'.....)

Easy come....easy go.

Just made a dealio to sell 'Trumpy' next week for 2x what I have into it after flogging it for 4 mo's.  I need to get a reliable truck or van that's better on gas.  Plus, nicrosato is loaning me his M900 to ride so I won't be totally bike-less.  And...it will force me to work on my project bikes again (sorely needed really...).

Just thought I'd post it up here since that ol' gal has made such an impression on y'all.

She'll be missed, but she's goin' to a good home.  [thumbsup]

Of course, I have the advantage of the fact that, with Stew riding my bike, his active mind will conjur up new projects for the old girl.

I think I found my next bike, a machine that would be the perfect candidate to ride from NY to ABQ next Spring- a '99 ST-4 with 9000 miles on it. It belongs to a wealthy guy who frequents the same shop as I do (I've spoken with him several times). He is the original owner and the bike is in perfect mechanical condition. Comes with hard bags and even a detachable backrest. Asking price is $5900. Joe Toturro, the shop owner, has the bike at his shop. He says the owner is negotiable on price and on terms of payment. I need to sell my Harley in Florida before I can buy this bike.

How wealthy is Phil, the owner? Well, his purchases over the last year were a Streetfighter, a Multistrada and a Biomota DB-7.

This would be my first experience with a 4v, water-cooled Duc. Any comments on these bikes?
