Hurricane Earl is coming. Do you High DESERT Hooligans know anything about hurricanes?
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

For us it stays on News, we continue rubber burns...used to be in KS, so I know what wind can do when they swirl...For you, it means no boat adventures...guitar time. It should not touch...NC may be the farthest it creeps!

I'm a Carolina boy.  Of course I know about Hurricanes.  Duh.

The eye of Hurricane Hugo passed directly over my house in the process of destroying half the State.

What do you want to know about Hurricanes?  They're big.  They're windy.  Stay out of the way.  Any more questions?

That cycle kicked my $$$! ??? Just 2.1 miles to work... messing with gears I didn't understand in combos...my rock climbing shoes slipping on clipper pedals...pedaling like a piston with bike standing still uphill...Dumbness might need a limit too!  [bang] Motorcycles are much easier!  [bow_down] But, hell feel like the exercise I need and yes more saddle (can you call it one!?!) time of-course should do the trick... [drink]

I knew that, Scott. It's the rest of these desert jackrabbits who were raised without the smell of salt air that I was addressing.

Oddly, the closest I've been to a hurricane was at Indy MotoGP 2 years ago.. and I'm sure that was just the outskirts/aftermath of the actual hurricane that we were dealing with.  It was bad enough that they called the race about 10 laps short.  I'll stick to my tumbleweeds and sand dunes thank you very much!  Dryness makes for less rust!   ;D
Sometimes when you say no, you really mean YES, that is why we have the safe word.. "FLÜGGÃ...ÆŽNKâˆ,â,¬ÄŒHIÅ'βØL∫ÊN"  If at any time the pleasure is too much, simply say the safe word, and we will stop"

"yep.. Ducati makes a fine motorcycle.. If your into all that Crotchrocket Bulls@#t!"

Ah, a New Orleans staple. Now that will kick your butt like 100-mph wind gusts.

As usual, the tv-weather talking heads were disbursing paranoia about Hurricane Earl like LSD at a late-60's Grateful Dead show. What we got was gray skies and drizzle on Friday evening, nothing but sunshine since. It was very windy yesterday: We sailed across Long Island Sound to Port Chester, NY and back to Glen Cove in 20-knot+ winds (you know, boat heeled over, rails in the water- like doing a tight twisty at high speed pn a Duc).
