I've decided to have the frame/tank painted. As well as the wheels powder coated. Trying to get an idea what the average rate is so I can set a budget. Also, for the Photoshop gurus, if you could help me with a draft so I can see what the after product should look like, I'd be grateful.

i powdercoated my swing arm and frame for $265. My quate for a new paint job...fender, cowl tank...was $600. Let me qualify the paint price a bit.
The concept for my paint job is as i am changing the entire stock idea:

Damn son, that is FINE. I want the tank and frame black gel. Wheels powder coated bright orange with black stripes. I may get the forks anodized black as well.  Where are you located? I'm in the Nashville area. Local shop wanted $600 just to paint the CF hugger, front fender and belt covers. My brother-in-law's father paints, waiting on a quote from him.

i am in Baltimore. The frame was powdered twice, black base, then sparkle clear coat(i didn't know you could powde rcoat twice honestly.  The sparkle clear coat was suppose to look closer to the metallic stock...we now call it 'stripper glitter' because it looks more glittery then metallic...but i like it. the wheels i had quoted to be powder coated at $160. This is more because they cannot be baked clean due to the softer metal.
If you anodize your forks be aware that if you get it done in black, the sun will turn them purple with time. You could powder coat them instead, just tape off where the triple make contact so you don't have clearance issues.

This is interesting advice, why tape off the forks were the triples make contact when the forks need to slide through the triples anyways? Yamaha made a few forks that were anodized black, and I don't remember anyone talking about them turning purple.

I do remember anodized black Cycle Cat products turning purple though.

Hard anodizing produces a thicker harder shell and i believe they dont use an organic dye where as regular anodzing does.

gold is the only  anodizing color that will not fade.

gold fades. it definitely fades. slowly. I've got identical STM buttons to prove it - put on at different times, now one is a different shade than the other. My Evoluzione slave went on first when I got the bike - its some funny pale color now (but it works fine and doesn't weep brakefluid, I will not tinker with it. yet.)

As far as Paint goes, I had great success with Brad @ Speedzone Paint & Bodyworks. (www.speedzonepaint.com) Give him a call or email and you can work out a fair price. About the same I believe DucPainter charges. (Brad pulls out tank dings too. i had a whoops once upon a time).

After a few years, my Ohlins forks don't look any different under the triples than they do on the exposed parts.  Maybe they fade evenly regardless of exposure?

Hmm that might be it. Or maybe the Evoluzione part had really crappy anodizing. On the other hand, I just a short reverse shifter from Slingshot Racing, and I ordered "Gold". I received what can only be described as "Orange". (However, I am happy with it anyhow, it fits and works very well)

Paint scheme is awesome!! [thumbsup]  From my most recent experience with hard anodizing, apparently there is a relatively new UV additive to hard anodizing that will prevent even black from fading.  Type II still is liable to fade  :(

I will paint the tank, tailpiece, fender and wheels for 600 dollars, the frame if you wanted to paint and not PC will be a extra 200 dollars incl swingarm.

But these are prices I charge here in South Africa ;D
