drill out all the rivets and reshoot the cans with a new coat of paint, and the  replace rivets with alum or stainless so they won't rust.  Sell you stockers for $100 and you're set.

I do have a black bike and I need to fibure out how to get them apart so I can paint them. I am very happy with them. I went out and started the bike last night and just listened to it. I can't wait for the weekend to get out and ride.

You'll need to take a drill to the rivets to get it all apart, then you'd need to rivet it back together. 

Might be easier just to mask it off and paint them as complete pieces.

That sounds like a plan. I'm not sure if I have the know how or skill to take something apart and put it back together well...LOL!!!

I think they look cool too!!! I'm not the type to make something so pretty you're afraid to ride it though! Some homemade mods are my fav, anyone can take it to the dealership and get some part replacement, no one else will have cans exactly like yours though!!

I did not use rivets, I just used screws and they did work pretty good too.
