ok i realise that this is a bit late but after ending up at Strathgordon a few time this year the last being with heather and knowing the stigma about Strathgoronds weahter thought that I would post the poem that used to be at what was the information/visitor centre out at the dam wall.
Found it while doing a bit of a clean up!

Drizzle Grizzle

Dirty days hath September,
April, June and November,
February is quite alright,
It only rain from morn till night.
All the rest have thirty one,
Without a single ray of sun,
And if any month had thirty two,
They’d be bloody raining too.

(Poem from the information place at Gordon Dam Wall Tasmania, author unknown)

Very nice Roxy ... sounds like the perfect place to put a ... wait for it ... dam!

If only they had such foresight on the Central Coast ... instead of building one where certain Councillors were able to gain the most from compulsary acquisition (allegedly, of course).
