Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Kind of... We haven't closed yet, but we are living here. We just got internet yesterday via satellite dish, not as fast as DSL, but better than dial-up. I've taken tons of photos, & am going to start a blog next week when I'm back in the big city for a week ;D

Ah, arena 54? Try area 51!

Just got back from there tonight after an eleven hour drive with two 12 year old boys bouncing off the roof of my Suburban! Yeah, that's why I am drinking a Big Gulp top shelf margarita right now!! Missed Scott being back in DFW but he and I knew that we'd miss each other due to my family vacation. Never got any closer than Angel Fire anyway.

Spent the whole time thinking about a small trailer group ride to the Enchanted Triangle area similar to the "LYD tour" earlier this year. The ride through west TX from Decatur,TX to Springer, NM just sucks on a bike! No matter which way you go.

Saw two thousand Harleys like Muskrat's bike but they all went 10+ mph UNDER the speed limit!!! No shit, from Springer, NM to Clayton, NM I followed a huge ass RV pulling a huge ass enclosed trailer in my ancient Suburban and that guy hauled ass! We passed group after group of Harley tourers all going UNDER the speed limit in the middle of no where!!!!! How f#@king sad is that when you get passed by a trailer pulling big ass RV while you are riding a bike???? I told the kids to hang out the windows and chastise the Harley riders as we passed in the wake of the RV! Jennifer vetoed me!!

Harley's do run over 55mph right?

LYD

Brian I did have my Buell XB12R up to 156, does that count?  (by the way thats all it had)

Just good spirited jiving of the DMF Harley riders. [thumbsup] [laugh] But all those guys were seriously poking along... I'm talking retirement home speed! I could see riding slow if it was beautiful mountain scenery that you wanted to look at while riding but this part of that drive kinda sucks. You want to get done with it fast! Boring as hell!

156!! That's damn fast on anything!!! :o Is that the bike you hit the big ass pot hole on? I remember you telling me that story, I just can't remember if that was the Buell or not??

must have been a Shriners ride, kinda surprised you didn't get an invite to that.

and yes they do run 55+ but barely.  :P  I've never ridden through West Texas at less than sustained speeds of 85 mph on any bagger I've owned.  Any idiot doing over 100 in a bagger should be thinned from the gene pool anyway.
Can we thin the gene pool?

Oh man, when I hear people talking about Harleys I feel like Hank Hill watching Bobby do his stand up routine.

Hey, I'd do a Shriner's ride! [thumbsup] I also agree that parts of West Texas and that part of New Mexico should be viewed at a high a speed blur. I can't imagine just poking along that slowly whether on a bike or in a car through boring scenery. Maybe they were counting fence posts or prairie dog mounds?? ;D

I will also say I have never seen more Harleys (no, I have not been to Sturgis or Daytona) on our annual cabin trip. Saw a couple of Suzook V-Stroms, one BMW GS and one flying brick, 3-4 Goldwings and all the rest were Harleys! All joking around about slow riders aside... but damn, there were a lot of Harleys! A couple of pretend metric tourers but all the rest were official Motor Company bikes. My hats off to 'em. Somebody had to sell all those bikes! They have their niche down for sure. [clap]

Not sure he's a TV person. ;D But then again, I'm not either... except for weather reports and race stuff. When did TV become reality TV? [bang] What's up with that? Amazing Race my ass! [roll] I've seen an amazing race and it was Imola 2002 between Bayliss and Edwards. Now THAT'S an amazing race! [thumbsup]
