Let's hope I never have to find out how good it is. With the arrival of my Corsair V, I decided I need some sort of security measure against people with itchy hands. Normally I take my helmet with me but I have been to places where helmets were not allowed in for whatever reason. They had to be left outside. Ummm.. not with a $500+ helmet.
I guess this lock is my solution.

The lock feels semi-solid. With that said, the plastic housing feels thick enough to do it's thing. The actual lock housing underneath is what counts in the end. The number swivels feel cheap though. There aren't solid clicks on each number rotation.
The cable itself seems like it could hold against repeat tuggings. It's not the end-all lock but it's compact enough to store under the seat (sacrificing tool kit) and should keep your helmet and/or jacket safe my prying hands in certain situations.
IMO, this is perfect if you're close in proximity to the bike AND in high visibility areas. This is definitely not ideal if you're gone from it for hours on end (sporting events, movie theaters, concerts, malls, etc). As with most and all locks, if they want it bad enough, they'll get it.  :-\ This should slow them down somewhat or deter them all together.

The R4 has a resettable 4 digit combination and a vinyl wrapped metal cord that extends to 36". According the package specs it's 2.6mm thick. It also comes with a detachable blue led light.

Here are some pictures:

The lock in the "storage" area. It fits just fine.

The lock with the security cord pulled out a little.
