Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has used the Airhawk Cushion seat covers.  I know they dont look very cool but I was thinking of something to make the ride from Adelaide to Philip Island a little more comfortable.  Any comments?

On our ride to PI earlier in the year the Sherpa had his Airhawk on the BMW carry-all.
None of the Monster riders had one.
Two of us rode on Sargents, one on a Corbin.
There was not that much numb-bum happening it was more so stiff knees etc....
But riding the S4Rs you'll be getting off every 170-200k's so a quick stretch and you'll be fine.

Mat,

I reckon you are right.  I was more worried that if I got one of the AirHawk cushion seats I would have had to tell my mother I was gay!!! Not that there is anything wrong with that!!!

One good thing about having a small fuel tank and range is the need to get off the bike regularly.

I will be riding with a small group and one of them rides a Cagiva Raptor that also has poor fuel capacity so plenty of stops.

Cheers

Bret,
On my Sherpa I use the Airhawk for long trips - it's a necessary evil. The bench seat on that bike is atrocious.

On the Monster I have a DP Gel seat and it's great. Not so great for the pillion, but hey, they can always bike themselves their own bike ?! or you may just need to massage their buttocks at the end of the day! ;) only females as pillions of course!  :o

how do I type that sound from those Carry On movies ?!  ;D sure!

I did do a massage course and could manage one, but given your delicate state...and my bike is leaking oil...I suppose I could use that instead of massage oil!
