I just sent an email to the webmaster asking that my account and all of my posts be deleted. I saved what I wanted. I was looking through some of my posts and there are ads IN my posts. I don't want to be part of a place that alters my posts by putting ads in them. I expect them to comply...

Just a random question -  Do they own your posts?  How does that even work?  I know when you are in college they make you sign a thing saying that any work you produce is property of the school.  Was there ever anything that said whatever you post on the DML is their intellecutal property?

I assume since they're posted on a public forum, open to everyone, that they can do what they will with them.

I'm pretty sure the TOS says that the posts belong to the member (to prevent them from being liable for what is said tht may harm the website)...

Part foresight, part tin-foil-hats, part luck, and part love of the heart and soul of the old board brought us to the decision that we should act.  We didn't even know for a LONG time if our efforts would be in vain or not.  I personally held to my convictions that VS would eventually shit in the pristine waters and forever pollute them with thier corporate ad-space whoring.

It's VERY nice to see the way in which the DMF has taken off today.  I haven't been this happy with a motorcycle forum in at least 6 months.

I scared the crap out of one of my fraternity brothers passing by my door because after I logged in to the DML earlier today, a big, loud W...T...F... came from my room.  It was so loud that someone from the basement(2 floors down) heard me yell .  luckily, I was able to get to the safety of the DMF within the hour be::
