if you don't mind me asking, why are you moving to the BI? i grew up in Hauula, so i can see why you'd like it there. will you be working up there as well? i wonder what the BI motorcycle scene is like.

Wait, there is a Hauula on BI?  I live Hauula now, so I am confused.
I will be working in Kailua-Kona and the wife and I just have been in love with the idea of raising a family over there for years.  It will be nice to be able to afford land and I truly feel at home when ever I am in South Kona.  So i guess we are just following our hearts.

Bike scene, there are bikes, they break, I fix.  And I look forward to some long rides.

It is not as bad as people say
It is harder to find a job and pay can be less. The big thing is that there isnt a military income beeing spent.  On oahu that is second biggest part of the economy, most people take it for granted.

so...  how do you feel about 14 tooth sprockets?

also, aftermarket slip-ons working with stock ECU?

14t sprockets are usually put on the superbikes, but i have put a few on monsters aswell.  they are fine.  the way i like to look at this kind of option is, do you feel like you wouldn't mind reving higher in top gear at your typical fastest speed (h3).  if that is acceptable, then go for it.

ok, as for high flow exhaust with stock ecu.  when you ride next, listen for popping in the exhaust, it is there, when you go with a much more open setup, the bike will comp for it to the same mixture, around .6% co and those little pops will now be backfires, also it may stumble more and increase any herky jerky feeling. that is the super simple quick answer

the extra revs up top would bother me less than the excessive clutch use for low end... I don't remember it being a significant issue with the 620. but then, it had a rear sprocket like a dirtbike (47?)

I've noticed that it's starting to pop on decel now (300 miles). are y'all open tomorrow? I may need to swing by specifically for said hand gestures
