You've been the best Will...especially the way you communicate and take a personal interest in helping us to make our Ducs right... [thumbsup]

[thumbsup] so sad to see you go will. you've been the best tech, always giving us updates and heads up on stuff. will be sad to see you go.

if you don't mind me asking, why are you moving to the BI? i grew up in Hauula, so i can see why you'd like it there. will you be working up there as well? i wonder what the BI motorcycle scene is like.

WillS

THANKS AGAIN

Wait, there is a Hauula on BI?  I live Hauula now, so I am confused.
I will be working in Kailua-Kona and the wife and I just have been in love with the idea of raising a family over there for years.  It will be nice to be able to afford land and I truly feel at home when ever I am in South Kona.  So i guess we are just following our hearts.

Bike scene, there are bikes, they break, I fix.  And I look forward to some long rides.

DRKWNG

How  much cheaper is it to buy land on the BI?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

WillS

crazy cheaper, do a search on aloha living
super cheap in puna, but we want to be in south kona

put it this way you can get five acres with house for less than 300k

DRKWNG

F!!  Seriously?  How much more expensive is everything else? Everyday living things llike fuel, electricity and groceries?

Right^
Gas is at 4 at costco
It is not as bad as people say
It is harder to find a job and pay can be less. The big thing is that there isnt a military income beeing spent.  On oahu that is second biggest part of the economy, most people take it for granted.

so...  how do you feel about 14 tooth sprockets?

also, aftermarket slip-ons working with stock ECU?

WillS

14t sprockets are usually put on the superbikes, but i have put a few on monsters aswell.  they are fine.  the way i like to look at this kind of option is, do you feel like you wouldn't mind reving higher in top gear at your typical fastest speed (h3).  if that is acceptable, then go for it.

it is a cheap and reversible mod

ok, as for high flow exhaust with stock ecu.  when you ride next, listen for popping in the exhaust, it is there, when you go with a much more open setup, the bike will comp for it to the same mixture, around .6% co and those little pops will now be backfires, also it may stumble more and increase any herky jerky feeling. that is the super simple quick answer
swing by for the longer version with hand gesturing

i hope that helps teddy,  see how fast you get the bug again [evil]

the extra revs up top would bother me less than the excessive clutch use for low end... I don't remember it being a significant issue with the 620. but then, it had a rear sprocket like a dirtbike (47?)

I've noticed that it's starting to pop on decel now (300 miles). are y'all open tomorrow? I may need to swing by specifically for said hand gestures  :)

WillS

try the sprocket

and not open today/monday
it is one of our few holidays. see ya soon

Told ya so.   ;D  Wait until after you've have some fast runs over Tantalus.  [evil] [evil]

If you want, you are more than welcome to stop by my shop this coming Saturday and throw the sliders & 14T on.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

dude, it's not just the potential hooligan/fun aspect of the thing... I'm imagining I will find a way to mount panniers to the thing so I can use it for general transport.

yesterday I had to run down to the store, and was sad because I had to take the cage
