Hello from New Orleans!

Bought a brandy-new Monster 1100 (red) last week, and a guy I met at the dealer recommended this group.  I've done some poking around, and have decided to stay.  Y'all look like a fun bunch, and I'm glad to be a member. 

I've been riding for about 15 years on and off, and it was, oddly enough, the Ducati Monster that got me started in motorcycling.  I first saw a photo in '94, and thought, "It will be mine.  Oh, yes.  It will be mine."

Only took me 15 years!

Congrats on the new bike, glad you finally got your Monster.

We have a couple members from the NoLa area here, swampduc is the most active here so hope you get a chance to say hi.

Welcome, Phri. I'm betting you ran into Cory at the dealer. You can find me there most Saturdays  . I live in Houma, but I spend most of my weekends in NOLA and will hopefully get a place up there this winter.
We have a local board, but it's really not active at all - maybe we can change that. Hope to ride with ya sometime - there's at least 1 or 2 good roads down this way if you want to come down. pm me if you need contact info.
