Dear NM Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I post this. We here in DFW lost one of our members yesterday to an accident. Charles DeCastro (CDC online name) passed yesterday after colliding broadside with a van driven by an 88 y.o. lady who turned suddenly in front of him. He was a great guy. A great friend. Pictures on our board.

Charles recently rode to WSBK in Utah. Last year he rode to the Indy MGP. He was a true rider and loved riding.

I know how close knit we all are and how we all care about other Ducatisti. Even though only a few hundred miles stretch between us it's not that far away from our hearts when we hear of such news. I felt very fortunate to meet quite a few of you at DiTR 2009 and do look forward to riding with ALL of you next year.

The notice:
The visitation will be this Friday from 5-7 PM at Thompson’s Harveson and Cole Funeral Home located on 702 8th Ave., Fort Worth. The vigil will follow from 7-9 PM.

The Mass will be held on Saturday at 10AM. The location is Holy Family Catholic Church located at 6150 Pershing Ave., Fort Worth.

That is sad indeed.  May he canyon carve all the way to the Pearly Gates.  Too many motorcycle acidents have a similar ring to them.  Ride as if your invisible to to all around.

Thanks guys for your concern. This is what keeps us all tight. Ride safe.

Couldn't agree more.  Sad news.  Be safe as you can, all.
