Howellerman

Greetings,

Per the guidelines:

John Howell
Santa Clara, CA (just 7.5 miles from Highway 9, 35 miles from Alice's)
2009 Ducati Monster 1100S and Kawasaki ZRX1200R (for sale)

Been a member of BARF (Bay Area Riders Forum) and SBR (South Bay Riders) for a couple of years, and with the purchase of the new 1100S I was reminded to join the DMF. This is my second Ducati, the first being a 1996 900 SS SP that I sold after buying the Kawasaki. My beautiful wife still misses that bike, and was all for buying the Monster. Great torque, great fun, and makes this 56-year-old youngster into an instant hooligan!   [cheeky] Fortunately, the grey hair sticking out from  the helmet throws the CHP off the scent!

Mods are typical: Termi's (along with the ECU), Speedo Healer (to adjust to MPH and correct the 11-percent "optimism"), narrowed handlebars, mini turn signals, and suspension tuning from Evolution Suspension (the best 40 bucks I ever spent on a Ducati!!!). My wife bought me a black and white Mechanicca jacket to go with my black and white bike. Stylin'!

welcome to the board Howellerman.
my guess is you already know about the local group in your area (the M.O.B)
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Welcome, welcome.  And congrats.  You'll find some BARF faces around here and on the local board.

There's a North Bay "No Jews" ride tomorrow that should be well attended.  Mostrobelle (Ducatihoney on BARF) is organizing it.

Also, since it's your backyard, we'll be doing a big Monster ride into La Ducati Day on Oct. 11.  Keep an eye on the local board and on BARF.  I'll post up in both places.   [thumbsup]  If you want to meet the MOB folks, there are monthly meet-up in San Jose/Sunnyvale and in SF at Zeitgeist.  The SF Zeitgeist night is next Thurs.   [thumbsup]

If you head to the AFM races this weekend, many of us will be hanging out in Tigre's pit.  He's probably in the garage with the Keigwin's folks.  Look for #944 with the tiger stripes and a bunch of Ducatis parked nearby.
Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.
