I've been working my way through Metropolis in neflix streaming. They have the version released a couple years ago with a ton of film that was found in South America in 2008. It's honestly not my favorite movie ever, but its amazing the things they were able to pull off in 1927. And it's interesting to know that this was pre-Nazi, and at the same time, you can see how they latched onto it.

Really an amazing film, just from a technical standpoint

Anyone remember the namebof the movie where a bunch of kids are in a future waste land scenario and the blade (old school ones)   and the blade to get away from the camp?

I'm a sucker for Argentine movies:

"Kamchatka" ...absolutely beautifully filmed.... set during Argentina's Dirty War, the story.... is partly that which is not said....    :'(

Another of my favourites (also starring Ricardo Darin) offers a little more uplifting, comedic amusement: "Nueve Reinas".  Love it.

"Historias Mínimas" is a quirky road movie in which - true to the title - no much really happens.... but I so want Roberto to deliver that damned cake  [laugh].  Droll.  Probably a little slow moving for many tastes but I like it.
