Sport Classic on Maui....how are these?

DRKWNG would be best qualified to answer.   My take is that they are just like highly modified Monsters.  The Paul Smart versions and the Mike Hailwood replicas are far better and more collectible/cool but then, to each his own.  As far as out and out street racers go you'd be better off with an actual 900SS/1000SS than an SC. But, again, that's my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.  [laugh]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

I guess there is that  [laugh]

You see, if you have never ridden the original version, or anything like it, then it's only highly imaginary. I doubt the horsepower claimed numbers even knowing how much you can crank out with high comps and radical porting.

It's kind of like having a fantasy one night stand. You'd never want a long term relationship and you'd never take it home to meet Mom & Dad. But, hoo boy, what a night it'd be if you could only survive it.   [evil] [laugh] [evil]

The add was deleted, so...  What model was it?

Here's the thing with the SC series bikes.  They are fun, but like Rick eluded to, they require some tweaking to really get the best out of them.  The front suspension on the stock bikes is not the best in the world, nor are the front brakes.  And the wheels are pretty heavy; more so on the GT bikes as they use steel rims.  But that being said, throw some cash at them to right those woes and you will have one fun bike.  Well, if you can tolerate the rack-like riding position that is.  At the end of the day though, they stir my soul in a way that few other air cooled Ducs do, so...

Brandon has his S1000RR up for sale.

And boy, someone jumped all over a guy who had his 1098 posted. The ad disappeared right after this came out.

He had that 1098 priced at just under $17K.   [roll]

Is Brandon going the dirt only route?

Not quite.  Having ridden a Beta in the dirt he wants to make a street legal supermotard out of one.  Not sure if he has a 450 in mind or the 520 but I think he said the 520.

That looks like it works real good.  Always wanted a stand that wouldn't compress the forks. Nice score!

Honda Furry...

1198 w/less than 500 miles...

RSV1000R...

Isn't that supposed to be a Honda Fury instead of a Furry?   [laugh] [laugh]

The 1198 ad has been around for a while.  Our friend's bike is actually a better deal but no one seems to be biting right now.   :(

While that particular model Aprilia has always been a good one the owner is a bit in la-la land when it comes to price.  For not too much more than that you could get a RSXV4.   [roll]

Yeah,  I am very happy!!
The previous owner used it on his Kaw ZX10...so I was very pleasantly surprised when the pin (Under triple) fit my bike PERFECTLY. [Dolph]

A new low today, even for CL.  Haven't been there for awhile but a search for Ducati this morning brought up just about everything else.  Of the 8 most recently posted bikes only 1 was a Ducati.  The others ranged the gamut of BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Harley Davidson and one cross-breed listed as a *Harley*Ducati*.  WednesdayThursdayFriday?
'07 S4RS and '04 998 Matrix.  Because sometimes I feel like a monster, and sometimes I don't.

At least there are some humorous ads.  Like AutoSource wanting to sell a 1198S with 17k-18k miles for $16,000.   [laugh]

About three new ones have hit since yesterday and they are all Ducatis.
