I'm sniffing a big group buy.
Matty Im interested too
I have done the Stayupright advanced level 1
so Im thinking level 2 like you.
Anyone been to both these schools ? how do they compare and would the levels be similar?

I'm maybe interested, but I have not done the Stay Upright advanced cornering and braking.
Would this be a similar replacement or is it better to do the stay upright course first that I missed last time with you guys.

From my discussions with these training companies in the past they generally don't acknowledge courses done with somebody else ... but I have been advised to skip over the beginner/intermediate classes unless you have only just started riding or are returning to riding after a break. There is always something to pick up however and more practice is a good thing.

As for the specifics (I haven't read through their stuff recently) Superbike School make you start at their Level 1 and progress through. We have done the Advanced Level 1 with Stay Upright but have done nothing with the Superbike School in the past so will be starting at Level 1 (I think Matty has already done Level 1).

The Stay Upright Advanced 2 is focussed on cornering and braking which is the basis of the Superbike School I think. Interesting that neither of the advanced courses at Stay Upright are covered by the QBE policy but Level 1 of Superbike School is.

Perhaps somebody that has done both may be able to provide more info.

IMO CSS is far better and much more fun.
Stay Upright was a great course but I found it a little limiting.
There is also the fact that it is run at Oran Park which is pretty old and bumpy now.

CSS is more track focused than Stay Upright but again I think you can take there lessons and apply
them to the road, it is about bike control, speed and finding your comfortable limits.

CSS is far more advanced and you can get more out of it, again my views.
But if you have known me since before I swapped to the S4Rs from the 620, track riding and CSS have alot to do with it.

Pretty much what Matty said.

I've done Stay Upright 1 and 2 and Superbike School L1. Stay Upright is sort of street focused(ish) Superbike School is way more track focused (however the skills translate to assisting your road riding). I learnt a lot more at CSS than I did at StayUpright. I would recommend CSS to anyone that has been riding for a while that wanted to seriously improve their skills.

The only problem with Superbike School is you risk turning into a trackday junkie.  [moto]

When are you guys looking at going? I'm in for Level 2, so now we have 12.

anyone know the cost? and do you actually get to play and have some fun? it says if you treat it like a track day you get booted, surely you get to enjoy your new skills for a while on track?????

You do get to explore your skills but it is not about track day running.
Meaning your not running flat out, you are free to overtake if there is someone slower
in front of you unlike Stay Upright course we did which was single file.

Level One is about finding your comfort cornering, you run the morning sessions without using brakes.
Of course not unless there is danger about, but it about running into corners and picking your slow down points
using your engine braking only and then throttle control through and out of the corners.

Level Two I am told is about vision and seeing through corners not looking at what is directly in front of you.
And also continuing the things learned in Level One.
