I thought this time of year "was when you guys loved living in Arizona"?  [roll]

Michael

I took the Summerhaven options off the poll. Maybe next year, then.

As for November, I think we're in good, non-freezing shape for the other routes. However, they're all going to be relatively cold (I mean, relative to normal Phoenix temperatures).

It's highway 666, which is now highway 191, from Springerville/Eager down to Safford/Thatcher.

It's not really something we can do in one day (it would be over 500 miles), but Springerville would be a great place to stay overnight. A while ago we were trying to get a group ride organized, but then decided more people would be able to go if we keep group rides to just a day trip and limited to about 300 miles.

It's a great ride, though. Very beautiful. Although, I think I would save that ride for late Spring, like April or May.

DUCMS4

That now makes sense - I had not realised they changed the HWY number.
WOW 500miles - agree this is not going to happen anytime soon, but a two day spring events sounds like a great idea.
Ayway, hope to see you guy's again on Sat 21st - any route preference decided yet?

Option 1 please...and i hope my life doesn't go to shit this time!!!!!!

For route #1, the map isn't as accurate because of how Google draws the round trip.

So here is the course broken up into two legs (with accurate maps):
- Click here for a map of the first leg
- Click here for a map of the second leg

Here are the planned stops:
- The starting point on the map is a Shell gas station on N/W corner of Gilbert & US 60 Supersition Freeway (which is by my house).

However, there are alternatives (if you guys want to do breakfast again) ...
- Waffle House - Country Club & US 60 Superstition Freeway
- IHOP - Power Rd & US 60 Superstition Freeway
- There's also a Hooters on Power Rd, but then Ryan will start showing all the girls how long his thumbs are and ... you know. [roll] We should probably just avoid that place altogether.

Then ...
1. Superior - rest and gas (then down to Winkleman)
2. Globe - rest and gas
3. Salt River Canyon lookout point - rest
4. Globe - rest and gas (then straight through back towards Mesa)
5. Moki's Hawaiian Grill -- delicious Hawaiian food (Val Vista & Southern) for lunch

[clap]

If it's okay with you guys, I'd like to expose you to one of my favorite restaurants. I guarantee you'll go home happy. The food is great, not greasy at all, full of flavor, super delicious.

Monster Dave

We're out for this one too since we're both competing in the El Tour de Tucson on the same day. I have to be at the starting line at about 4am.

Dave, according to my research, you haven't ridden your motorcycle since the Bush administration.

When are you going to come out and hang with your loving fans?

Training has been grueling over the last few months. Once the Tour is over we'll be back out on our power assisted two wheelers. I ride my monster twice a week, just enough to show it some love.  [thumbsup]
