Been out of town for a few days and just noticed this. Wow T, you just got that Gixxer and the 900SS was shaping up to be a great looking track bike. Sorry you are getting rid of the stable. Hope it all goes toward another two wheeler of your choice and not just for some troublesome bills! [moto] Good luck with the sale!!  [thumbsup]

As if I could afford anything right now, how much for the YSR?

The YSR is a neat little bike, I have $550 in it, but at this point it needs carb work and battery.  It does come with brand new tires, fork seals, chain, etc...  It's definitely a project bike, but would be inexpensive for someone who is a DIY'er.  It has a license plate, clean title, head light and turn signals.  I'll take what I have in it.

The 900 is a great bike, it has made me a much better rider.  I've owned a lot of bikes, and 6 different Ducatis.  At this point I'm ready to upgrade.  Ever since I sold the 1098s I've been secretly a little sad.  Although I believe it was far too much bike for me on the track, it was heaven on the road.  For the past 6 months or so I've been drooling over the idea of an 848 with ohlins.  Might take me a while to get one, but it's in the crosshairs....  Plus, I've been working 6:30-6:30 7 days a week and the one day off I went to the track.  1 track day in 2 months is hell.  I don't have a streetable bike, and I believe the 848 with cover my needs on street and track.  That's my only reasoning, just upgrading....

Good thinking T!

I'm absoulutly sure you'll regret losing the 900SS (everyone who ever sold one wants it back) but in the bigger scheme of things I think you're doing the right thing.

...Which, in itself, should be a warning of sorts...  [laugh]

That's a damn good reason! That's also way too much damn work... jeez, give a guy a break. [bang] No time for fun or family. Don't know if this effects you and your job but with the bad economy lots of companies have had to get lean and mean. Once they lay off a bunch of folks they all of the sudden get "efficient" and realize they can make just as many widgets with 50 employees instead of the 100 they used to employee. It's just that those 50 have to do the work of 100 for the same $$!

The bike idea sounds great, that sounds like Bryant's bike path: 848 w/Ohlins. Wish Ducati would make a true "S" model 848. Bet it would sell. [thumbsup] Good luck with all of it! Water under the bridge now but your 1098S was a hell of a deal. That was a great bike for the money, seriuosly thought about it but made myself stop. Sad and glad I did. :P

My god I want that 900SS, I just need to find a lucrative street corner to start working to get some extra jingle in my pocket.

Its got a lot of sweet stuff on it, and it's a hell of a good trackbike, especially for the tracks around here.
