Is cool..... Looks like the weather is going to be sunny so might have to go for a ride and test out the vid mount ....  [moto]

Cool, unless anybody _really_ wants to still do (and host) the maintenance day, I'll be up for a ride (so long as it's not an early start - looks like it'll be sunny but _cold_).

Where were you thinking of going? North (a Putty Loop perhaps) or South (Kangaroo Valley?) or West (Bells, Jenolan Caves?)

Perhaps we should start a new thread?

Do we think between us we have the knowledge and/or courage to change and lessen my fork oil??????
Big question I know but it could be a fun job to take on and if it doesn't happen it's not a far walk home for me.

It's pretty easy, so long as you've got some way to support the front of the bike, and a way to get oil out of the forks.

To hold the front wheel in the air I use a car jack under the front cylinder (but I'm a dodgy backyard mechanic) the "proper way" is an under-the-triple front stand or a frame stand.

To get the oil out I use an oil pump I got from a boat place designed to pump oil out of boat engine sumps via the dipstick hole. I've seen setups made from large syringes with lengths of tubing fitted over the end too which woild allow you to suck out small amounts easier (I just slurp too much out, then add it back in carefully while measuring the height with a cheap plastic vernier caliper with a depth gauge on it - one of those small 150mm metal rulers is another good way to measure the depth).

I'll be in San Francisco on the 23rd, but if you want to borrow my pump before I leave let me know...

Super T.I.B

I was gonna say you have to tip the bike upside down.  [cheeky]
