i switched to wheat thins and triscuits.
i also weighed myself for the first time since about a week before the accident. 204 and change.
not as bad as i thought, but not where i want to be. BJ, i look to you for inspiration. run an extra mile for me would you?  ;D

Triscuits are the bomb...   [thumbsup]

I ain't gonna do your runnin' for ya Travis, sorry...  [cheeky]   Besides, you'll be strong enough to do your own running, soon...   [beer]

Here's a little extra motivation...   [evil]

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Speedbag

Up to a vigorous 20-25 minutes per day on a stationary, and not dropping dead afterward (or even being remotely winded). Eating pretty darn well, despite the occasional slip and somewhat lighter beer intake. Bloodwork now shows startlingly low bad cholesterol and other nasties.

Hardly lost any weight though. I seem to be losing flab, as I've have had to put two new notches in the belt since October. I almost seem to be reverting back to the monster I was in my 20s (used to lift weights a lot back then).

I was hoping to drop 30-40 lbs by spring.....  :P

So...

I never saw who ended up winning our challenge. I need to go back through and read the whole thread I guess. I ended up in self imposed DMF exile for several months after we started this (not because I don't like you guys, we had other issues...including our house almost burning down for the 2nd time this past summer).

On the brighter side, I continued what this thread started, and I'm currently training to run a half marathon in February. I'm currently running 4-6 miles 3 times a week, and then some longer runs in between.

It's not all good news, though. I went back to see what my offical weigh in was, back when we started=252 lbs.

...after 7 months of running....my current weight is...253 lbs  [laugh]

I feel like i'm getting in pretty good shape, but I haven't lost SHIT!  [bang]

oh well.

thanks Bacon ...

As said, during the holidays I put on some pounds and some are already gone ... doing the same, less intake, more often, doing 2 to 3 rounds in the afternoons with the dogs ... actual weight, 192lbs .... ideal 185lbs ... but no less than 180lbs ... Yes I'm 5'8" but somehow, if I go under 180lbs I look 'haggered'  ...

Anyways, I can go weight myself and post pick ...

Any wagers?

I haven't seen anything under 190 in a looong time...

Don't think I could run a 10k today, though.  :P

Nice work!   [clap]

congrats on the run ... I don't do running . . .

BJ, I'm 188lbs . . .  waist down to 33" . . .

Again, any wagers?

I'm 3lbs shy of my goal . . . 185lbs . . . this is due to front suspension setting . . .

Think I'm going to sit any wagers, out....

I've spent months getting up to running 6 miles at a time, and haven't lost anything....pretty sure I don't need to be making any bets on losing weight  [laugh]
