Why?........ the simple answer.......most doctors suck.

Or because what's considered "normal" has shifted.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

One more thought regarding blood work.

about 8 years ago the healthy range for thyroid was changed. Many people who would have tested in the normal range at that time would now test positive for hypothyroidism. The problem is, most doctors are still using the old range.

Why?........ the simple answer.......most doctors suck.

Just a thought as to something you may want to look into.

Once again, wrong thread.

I'm back in the office again today, after being out for 2 weeks. As much as I thought I'd gain weight traveling, I haven't. I've actually lost a couple pounds.

New diet plan for all of you guys. Crack a tooth open...It'll make you not eat for 4 days  :-\

Hurts like crazy...I'm going to the dentist this after noon. Might tell him to leave it until I get back from this next trip next week...maybe I'll hit my 14 lbs then  [laugh]

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

yes.......as better research has come out, the normal range has shifted to more accurately represent a healthy thyroid output.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

ok, i'm rather happy with my current weight. i've been within a few lbs of 205 for a week.

i don't have a bulging tummy, my ass is no longer a shelf, and i have more muscle than fat.

if i continue the upper body work then i might gain some upper body mass and go up in weight, but that's ok.

ya'll have fun in here. i'll be back in 10-15 lbs  [thumbsup]

I'm still on vacation, but my wife keeps us moving. Yesterday we hiked down, then back up a river that averaged about knee deep for a total of 2 1/2 miles...and that was just one of the days. I'm also down to a consistant 1 soda a week. I'm hovering at just over 3 pounds away from our 14 lbs goal...but that is on a different scale from mine at home....feels about right though. I'm thinking that isn't too bad considering I've been on the road for 3 weeks now and 2 of those weeks have been vacation. I've also been sticking to atleast a six pack a week [drink]

Just finished 30 days of trying out a paleo diet and doing Crossfit 4 days a week.  No idea if I've lost any weight, but I'm much leaner than when I started.  Going to do another 30 days of paleo, only hopefully more strict this time around.  Class just started, so I'm not too hopeful.

The only thing I really miss on this diet is beer.  Everything else - bread, grains, sugars - I'm happy to do without.  Luckily, I found a margarita recipe that fills the gap nicely.  The hardest part, other than the lack of beer, is planning ahead a week at a time for things like lunches and breakfasts at the office.  Right now I've got 14# of pork butt on the grill at 350F for 6 hours.  It'll take various forms for lunches and dinners throughout the week.
