I wish I had a dyno, a big assed fan, and a couple of days to compare pods vs airbox vs open airbox in more realistic running airflow conditions. I'd also look at velocity stacks. Any of you guys seen anything like that?

I've got some pods sitting on my shelf. I think they'd look neato, but don't am afraid of sticking them on and making my girl bike (620) even slower.

I have conducted some "open airbox Vs pods" dyno tests. Punch that into the search function.  Also check out "Enlarged airbox and other airbox mods".
I just had to know.

I really like it.

Only thing I'm trying to reconcile is:
1. Rake is too long for aggressive riding.
2. Despite the long rake, the riding position places rider in a very aggressive position.

So unless I missed something, the bike places rider in a riding position that contradicts the design.  ???

Is that about right? I'm no bike builder.

Looks like a Drag Bike set up.  [evil]

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Basic explanation of what's going on with that frame:

Conceptually, think of the outer fork tubes as being rigidly attached to the frame, and open at the top.

Inner sliders go out the top of the tubes, and there hold a rather complicated folding knee and linkage assembly.

That assembly connects to the handlebars, transmitting the handlebar motion to rotation of rods that go down the inside of the sliders.

At the bottom, the inner sliders hold a hub-center style wheel (like Bimota Tesi).

The rotation rods are linked to the hub.

Yup.... they've been building highly regarded racing frames since I was a lad (and that's a while ago now  ;))
