[clap] I should have thought before I mentioned orange frames.  OK, I'll change the rule to no purple neon framed...  just kidding.  Please no more.

That is an interesting frame on the Tiger Monster.  It is a Monster frame, but with a custom Superbike-like connection to the rear of the engine.  I never noticed that before and I've seen pictures of that bike for years.

I'm surprised he didnt paint the exhaust with stripes. I think there's a full write up on the bike on tob, might shed some light on the frame.

or more appropriately through one hole under the tail............  would he need to sharpie the exhaust?  who wants to stare at a bare exhaust?

Anything to stop that tail from wobbling.

I've gone on many a ride with the tigerbike and the swaying of the tail...

So... mesmerizing... must... stay... focused... on... road...

Seriously, the Tigerbike gets more grins and thumbs-up than any other bike I've seen. And while Steve's tiger obsession is a bit odd (okay, it's a cry for help) it kind of overshadows the fact that the bike's had a lot of custom work done.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

It's impressive to say the least.  Here in Columbia, MO it would go over especially well.  Hell, people hang tiger tails out of the back of their vehicles on gameday (or just througout the year :))

Any idea who makes that frame?  And why does it extend all the way to the swingarm?  The Duc engine is designed to be a frame member.

The superbike frames, and the old MTS (maybe the new one as well), also extend to the swingarm pivot. Increased rigidity I would guess. Pierobon knows what they're doing...they build all of Ducati's race frames, as well as a few other manufacturer's frames. Their frames are artwork.

The track version of the F042 is at the top of my list of dream bikes...right beside an NCR Millona. Boulder Motorsports is the US dealer for them and they had an F042 at the Miller WSBK races this year... [bow_down] [drool] [bow_down] [drool]
