been a long time gone from the board. I just built a kz400 into a cafe - what are you building kz wise?

  Welcome back Beater, didn't make it up to the show, too far to drive in My recovery mode.  I am in the final stages of a total rebuild of a 1978 KZ 1000 police bike transformed into a Cafe', just have tuning and road test basically. This is not a paint and bodywork affair, but a full on, reinforced frame/suspension, built engine, etc., trying to stay close to AMA Superbike specs., but still street legal. Will post pics. soon, getting anxious to flog it, but want to finish the job properly. I have another '78 KZ 1000 that I'm thinking about building as a streetfighter, have to see how the first one pans out...  I also have a '80 KZ440 I would let go very cheap, clear title, but been sitting a long time. (turns over, good comp., mag wheels, complete!!)  There's always room for another project...
