Pinocchio

Sounds like a better time than I had bear-trapping my left thumb and ripping the thumbnail half out while putting a @!#$%^&*! motorcycle floor jack together this afternoon. :'(

Ridiculous! I can't even unwrap a Bandaid. [bang]

Luckily, I don't need my left thumb to type. [thumbsup]

I do that shit all the time to myself. You must be kin. I got it from my Dad and cuss him every time I bruise or gash myself doing something simple. At least I keep it to myself, he would also hurt those innocently standing by. Like me or my brother! [bang]

Hey Louis, its the newbie David.  Thanks for giving me the info on the site.  Hope to catch the next ride.   [thumbsup]

I usually work carefully and slowly around machines, but it had taken an hour of my precious Sunday to get Sears to exchange the jack, which would not hold a bike up long enough to get jack stands under it. Something was wrong with the valve, or the jack oil, or both. So I was rushing to get the replacement jack assembled without RTFI when I had my brain fart and released the SAFETY STOP RATCHET (now I know why they named it that) with my other hand still inside the lift mechanism. [roll]

I couldn't find my Mechanix gloves this morning, which might have saved my thumbnail if I had been wearing them. Ironically, I just now thought to look in the hall coat closet. Sure enough, my wife stored them there. Can't quite get them on over the bandaging! [bang]

I finished putting the jack together, but it will probably be a while before I can play the violin. [laugh]

OK, now the pics (had to go play disc golf ;D )

It was a lot of fun, and I look foreward to an early start ride as it will be getting hotter.

I guess Busas are good for going straight at least [popcorn]
