I went with the Stebel Magnum...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Stebel-Magnum-136dB-horns-Be-Safe-be-heard-12V-Vehicles_W0QQitemZ120538911323QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1c10add25b

Its smaller but has similar decibels, its not a twin horn tho... but a lot cheaper!

I havn't mounted it yet, but I reckon it may suit the 2valvers better because it should be easier to hide.

These look the go, but what is the difference between 410Mhz or 500Mhz, and dont tell me 90Mhz. cheers

Price?

Can't really say Mmick.

Mine very much sits out in the weather, for a short time I thought it dropped one of the horns.
But it came back very quickly.

Can't say enough how great a horn it is, either one of them is a huge improvement over the stock jobbie.

I reckon it would be the "pitch" or "tone".    ie: How it sounds, not how loud it is.

They look good I reckon.
I'll order a big one and if it doesn't fit, I'll put it on the car and get the smaller one for the Monster  :D

I must be getting soft....I just shake my head and keep on going. It happens so oftern I used to it. Sometimes just give them a good stare or shake my head as I go by.

Maybe I need to harden the make the beast with two backs up!

I think when you commute on a bike you get immune to the risks and incidents from traffic. I am the same as you and i never get agro as i just don't seem to care. The fact is if someone cuts me off in traffic i know i'll be 100 cars ahead of them within the next 5 minutes anyway  [moto]

I couldn't get the nautilus to fit without it getting in the way of the steering or looking fugly so I went for the Magnum, in my opinion if you are only going to fit one magnum, go for the higher pitch as that may better penetrate the skull of your average motorist.
I ounted mine on the original horn bracket (S2R) I had to carve a bit of the plastic off the horn to make it fit neatly, but as long as it's not facing in to the weather, will be fine.
"The make the beast with two backsin monkey started it..."

Yep. there isnt any point in raising your own blood pressure and giving yourself ulcers and ruining your disposition and most importantlym your objectivity while on the bike [thumbsup]

The "red mist" doesnt help with good decision making! And in a Car vs Bike situation you just wont win if the cretin in the tintop decides to push you around! ???

And dont expect any support from the authorities! The question that is usually asked is "What did you do to the driver first to warrant thier reaction?" [leo]

You're riding cos you like it, and therefore for fun! [moto] [thumbsup] Its up to you whether you are going to let some retard stuff it up! ;D
Secret to a long relationship is........Keep the fights clean and the sex DIRTY"!

Mick, I think its the pitch. They make a low and a high pitch.
I went for the low pitch thinking it would make me sound bigger, but you could be right brimo, the high pitch one may get noticed better...  dunno?

It is the pitch, and its 410 / 500 Hertz, not Megahertz!

In all reality, 90Hz is bugger all difference, get either one. I assume they have two different pitches for when you want multiples...
That frequency is classified as a midrange tone for human hearing - human voices are typically 300 Hz - 3000 Hz, so it's in the voice range where our ears are most sensitive. At 136db at that frequency, you'll be noticed.
