I think that was a road racing exhaust..... awesome, but they've been out of business for some time...

ozducati

seems Motowheels are dumping their stock of Quat D as another US distributor has been appointed.... which is why they are so cheap.. i have a few Ex Boxes in stock which were made for us without the Cat in them... PM me for a special price if you're interested...

monsta

perfect!   exaxtly what I wanted Tony!   [thumbsup]

yeah, mine was a 'road racing' exhaust.

I hear the credit card weeping..

no worries oz..

Tony, did you get yours from motowheel?

They want $260 for freight...  seems a bit high?

can you remember how much your freight was?

Check their shipping info on the website and send them an email ... if your freight number was automatically generated.

From memory we received a partial refund once the true freight costs were known so it might be worth checkin'. We weren't buying an exhaust system though and I don't think the true freight cost could be considered 'cheap'.
Believe post content at your own risk.

yeah sent em an email a few days ago Betty.  No reply yet, maybe not interested..
They offer 2 auto generated prices and $260 was the cheaper option.
I've done the same thing in the past and have been able to get freight reduced.

It was a while ago...I do remember though that they issued a credit after the order was generated on their system, so the freight was cheaper than the system price.....bit of a funny way of doing it!  I think it was around $1300 AU landed here, but I think they were selling them for $999 US back then & the exchange rates weren't as good.

motowheels:  I email em to say that I'm interested in buying *insert cool bling item here*, and ask em to send me a paypal invoice complete with a sensible shipping rate.  Martin usually goes for it once he smells a sale.

Their system can only give a price for fedex or whoever they use for the USA.
They send international orders via USPS.
They refund the difference within 14 days.

monsta

haha..
I got an email from them yesterday. Maybe they're watching this thread!  :)

"Our website quotes freight high and we will refund the difference, or Ican send you a pay pal request for the actual freight cost which wouldbe roughly 85.00 postage"

think I'll have to bite the bullet!  :)

got the goods today :)
I finished up getting a refund on my freight costs, and it ended up costing about $1050 landed.

I gotta say, its a nicely made thing. And it arrived in good time..
Itchin to get it on... :)

so, I got it fitted on yesterday.
Took a bit of mucking about.. even though they supply exhaust ring clamps because of the bigger diameter tube,  I wanted to use the MPL ones I have, so I had to make them fit.
I also painted it black. I'll have it ceramic coated later on when I paint the rest of the bike on the rebuild I plan for later this year.
Also. I had my chain adjusted right forward (30000k's on a DID and its hardly moved..  amazing!) and the tyre rubbed on the zorst, so I had to add a link to the chain to bring the wheel back about 15mm.

The zorst is a snug fit everwhere and was a tight to fit, I wish I'd remembered the rear gasket before I got it fitted nicely!  [bang]

Its actually a bit quieter than the old pipes I had on and feels as though its lost something.. the front wheel dosn't seem to come up as easy..  :-\  tho, it could be the fact that I've lengthened the back wheel??
There was also a little bit of backfire on decelerate, but that seemed to stop when it warmed up. It do doubt could use a bit of re-jetting.

these were the old pipes, I cut 5" of them, thats why it was louder than the QD..
