But they're green.  And they're Kawis.  And Haga's on a Duc.  Arrrghh!   Black is white.  Up is down.  The world is ending.   [laugh]

Man, Race 2 was a mess.  I was soooo rooting for JT and he got just obliterated.  Report is a mild concussion.  I was also rooting for Cal and he went splat.  I'm glad that crash looked gentle.  Between last year and this year, Monza's a bit of feast or famine for those factory Yammies, eh?

I love how in the post-race interviews Haslam was pretending it was his wrist that took the brunt of that near highside, when we all know he's singing a coupla octaves higher.

Yay! RLH got in the points, even if only by attrition.   [thumbsup]

I really want others to catch up in the points.  Haslam and Biaggi are starting to gap the others in the championship.

A damned shame for Cal Crutchlow. Still the best bike racing for my money though.

the way cal went down, vs what could have happened, was really lucky.  and while the crash was a total bummer, it did put the camera on his GF for a moment. =)

major bummer for jt.  that was an ugly moment.
Like this is the racing, no?

This maybe a stupid question, but why don't they fit brake lever covers? The weight penalty versus bad wrecks has got be a decent trade off.

Anyone, Derby? ;D

I read somewhere--dunno where--that Biaggi's bike kicked up a rock that pierced his oil cooler.  That's just make the beast with two backsed up luck.   Edit:  here's a story on it -- http://www.crash.net/world+superbikes/news/159586/1/kicked_up_stones_ruin_crutchlows_day.html

Brake lever covers?  Like handguards?  Iff the top of my head, it seems like that'd lead do more hand injuries as people's hand get trapped when they crash.  It would be pretty hard to hold the bars as one would like too.

However, Crutchlow's weekend would end in the gravel trap on lap 13 when he spun on his own oil, which had begun leaking from a hole caused by stones being kicked up the Aprilia ahead.

I win!   [laugh]

iirc, yates put bark busters on his bike in 2002 and tech wouldn't allow 'em.

that was ama superbike, of course... not sure if anybody has ever tried in worldsbk.

Skeptics may suspect a problem from race 1 that didn't get or couldn't be fixed:

Cal Crutchlow: “I felt like I put together a solid race, but we never got the best of starts again, the bike is hard to get off the line, but all credit to Yamaha, we came to their home round and second and third for me and James is a strong result. We knew we would struggle a bit for speed, but to be honest I struggled throughout with gear shifting, I had a leaky engine oil cover. I was struggling to change gear up the box, but I feel I rode well.”

They are hangin' pretty low now.

Imagine when she is 50. You could probably hide a tin of cat food under each one.
I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.
