I like it, the metal flake is a little extreme for me but to each his own.  Definitely some unique mods on it and I'm sure it sets it apart from all the others in your area.  [thumbsup]
Every bike I've ever owned.

Thanks for the input. When I explained to my painter what I was after, this is a bit more extreeeeeem than the old bike of Hailwood, but between the 14 coats of clear and the comments from everyone coming into my shop, I can say its grown on me.

man that na-cell looks great

classic with the speedo in it

try loosing  the fenders see how that looks ......i like it very unique

lwszabo

that looks very good! I love the paint, I think the Ex Box will make it look to thick from a side view, how about some Sport classic looking exhaust in flat black? the seat may be to over the top, but its your bike! Good Luck!

ducpainter

I like the flake.

People don't realize how much work it is.

Hats off to your painter. [thumbsup]

My painter does great work...3rd generation body shop. That flake is a pain in the butt...as I mentioned above, 14 coats of clear!

I did consider the all black exhaust, but the EX Box is on order and at this point 3 weeks away... with the tail chop and the integrated turn signals in the tail light, the exhaust just looks too fat and out of place to me.

I really like that look of the speedo in bucket, I might pick up a 748 speedo though. I think the white is a little too much contrast vs the black of the 748.

Looking good.  The tank is a little over the top for me but I think once you get the new seat on it will really have that 60s look going.  I say go with the spoked wheels to continue with the 60s cafe look.  Can't wait to see some updated pix.  Thanks for sharing.   [thumbsup]

Kickstand arm on backwards?

Work better, or run into a clearance issue?

Raux

i think the exbox would look too modern.

think about megaphones to replace the stock cans for the retro look.

also, try to find Aluminum fenders for the front and rear if you keep them, but i do like the idea of not running any also.

i also wish you would stay 1 rotor. so few have that so it's more unique.

the tail cover should be metal flake too IMO.

The metal flake is definitely 70's cool

a couple of minor things, but since you ran such great wire and line on the front, reroute the lines and wires that are running across the belt covers.

and either remove the oil cooler or paint it black.

I hope my bike turns out as nice though

There's no denying the top notch workmanship, but the tank does sorta stick out. Overall, I love it! Can't wait to see the final edition.

BlackKat

Great ideas from all!

The single caliper concept would save me some money! haha

Aluminum fenders are a great idea, as I'm just not in love with the craftsmanship of any of the carbon ones I've seen. Maybe I'd even add a "pedestrian slicer" to it! Thats another reason I was just going to have the guy who made my headlight bucket make me a fender.

The Ex Box is paid for and in route, so there's no turning back now, but I will say I love the simplicity and the fact that its just unusual to the eye of anyone into bikes.

The new tail solo cover will be painted to match the tank for sure.

I do also plan to re route the wiring. I'm told the bike was yellow and the frame was repainted also. Assuming it was stripped down, I can only think that there is better routing for the wires.

I might consider powder coating the frame something different this winter...

I love the ideas guys...keep them coming!

So far so good.
I too would recommend megaphones or reverse cone megaphones endcans for the look your after. If you dont have a huge budget then it could be worth looking at the budget emgo cans, these are fairly generic but look the part and come in long or short versions. They will be pretty loud as they have little in the way of packing but thats easily fixed. They are also straight cans so may not sit neatly with the lines of your bike, this can also be solved easily, either by getting a local auto shop to make some angle adaptors or use something like the adaptors available for bikes like the Triumph Bonneville serving the same function.

This is a popular budget option for some sportclassic owners as they are relatively cheap compared to commercially available cans

Good Job.  [thumbsup]

IMO:

1) no ex-box - go with Megaphones or straight pipe
2) Pantah belt covers.
3) lessen the exposed carbon - paint cowl to match tank, carry some of the tank color to the headlight housing.
4) Paint oil cooler or relocate or just ditch it all together.
