Why did you choose the MacMillan over other ones like the Magpul or B&C?

The McMillan fits the larger TAC-338 action.  My options were McMillan, XLR, or Cadex.

I actually really like the Magpul, and have one on my 20"  308 SPS. Light weight, and feels great. Adjustments  are limited though, and it will not fit a bull barrel.

Whoa.  The Magpul won't fit a bull barrel??? That's absurd.

I didn't catch that you set up a 338.  Got cha.

It is absurd. I believe varmint contour is the largest. 0.850 I believe

Why would they make a "tactical" stock that doesn't take a bull barrel?

Then again, it really is the low dollar model of the lot.  I mean, good quality but ...

I know some of you guys use Freedom Munitions ammo. You might find this interesting...

Is Kopf taking a few weeks off from shooting?!!!

I'm doing my part.  I have a big box of Freedom being delivered tomorrow.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Not at all. Ramping it up actually. I ordered twice since Saturday, 2k. No sign of any issues from Freedom on my end.

I think it's a sign of the panic subsiding.

He's not saying anything on his site. I'm burning through his ammo at at least 1k a week, so I keep a revolving door going with them.

round these parts they have a pretty bad rap for squibs. Most if not all I know won't touch their stuff.

twice in the last month or so I've ordered case (Speer 124 or Blazer 124) for less than I could get FM for and shipping was free.

You shoot those fat slow ones anyway. ;D

I let loose 200+/- last night after work in the desert. I stopped when I really jacked up a mag change and decided I was too tired to continue and really did not have enough light to see the sights anymore.

Squibs with Freedom ammo? Couldn't guess how much of his reman I've shot, and never seen that once.

Given that Kopf burns through more ammo in a week than some countries do in years of civil war, I respect his opinion on this. [thumbsup]

I haven't heard about squibs. I have heard about some brass separation issues when used for reloading. FM uses, or used to use, a step inside the case to avoid setback. It's a natural stress point, and some have had issues.
