Awesome, you guys can meet up with me and probably a friend in Santa Fe...Any suggestions on where would be good?...I usually meet Kawboy at the GIANT gas station off I25 on St. Francis. But, I can meet you all up North of Santa Fe towards Jemez as well, in case you take the Relief Route and North 14.

Jemez should be an awesome group ride tomorrow!!! Yay!  [moto]
Ride forever...

Hi everyone,

I am the friend JJ is talking about. We (JJ and I) can also meet you at the coffee shop in Madrid. Let us know.

How about Jemez?
One of my favorite runs.  [moto] Just not sure how ugly
the roads are after last week's snow...it takes a while
for the gravel to get removed.

JJ

Call me on my cell around 10:00 and we'll hammer something out.  We won't be coming through Madrid, so that's probably out, but I-25 and St. Francis sounds reasonable.  Probably around 10:45 or so.

five oh five . two three eight . oh three two three

Karl,

JJ rode the thing three or four weeks ago (step in if I've misspoken, JJ) and said it's a little sandy but OK.  Another acquaintance (Carey whom I work with) rode it two weeks ago and said the same thing....beautiful ride but not yet time for full tilt boogie.

I'll be at the Starbucks in Bernalillo at 10:00....that's what I think, Plumber's Crackhead!

make the beast with two backs a little breeze.  5-10 mph is virtually still air, it's those 60 ones that worry me.  We'll be back home easily by midafternoon.

See me there.

Not quite there buddy...  I lived here from 1999 to 2002 and also for a short-stint 1993-1994.  I'm no NM virgin.  ;)

Bike is a Cardinal Red 1999 Triumph Legend TT with minor asphalt applied 'beauty marks' and a few minor nicks.  Missing a speedo, needs some pipes...  stupid little things like that.  It's no Ducati, but for now....it'll do!  [thumbsup]

This will be me shortly:   [moto]

Stew's original draft:

I'm no NM virgin.  I've known Cloner for weeks, now!

This will be me worshiping Cloner shortly:    [bow_down]

Thanks for that high praise, Stew, but I really don't need the ego pump.  A simple "Love ya" would do.   ;D

Meanwhile, do you have a Ducati engine stand?  I need to pull the frame off the SS to replace a weeping head seal and I think I'd rather do it from a stand this time rather than manhandling the doggone thing.  If you don't, do you want one?  I figure if nobody locally has one I'll draw and build one for my gratification, and it'd be just as easy to build a couple.

I had to go look up the Legend TT, but that's actually a pretty cool looking scoot.  I think you'll have fun playing with that!

Oh....and I suppose this would be an excellent time to thank JJ and Plumber's Crack for an excellent ride today.  It started out a little cold, but warmed up as we got later into the afternoon and the road through Valles Caldera and Jemez was MUCH cleaner than I anticipated it being this time of year.  It gives me hope for good riding in the near future.  Sorry you couldn't tag along, DM, you'd have enjoyed it if it had been a few degrees warmer, I think.
