Incase anyone wants to ride with ABQ motorcycle riders to Taos


Meet for breakfast, if you can, at the Range in Bernalillo 8 am.  KSU 9 am. US550 to Cuba (65 miles GAS STOP), From Cuba take NM 96 to Abiquiu (59 miles, GAS STOP).  US 84 to Tierra Amarilla (40 miles).  US 64 from Tierra Amarilla to Taos (80 miles, LUNCH- GAS STOP) .  Taos to Santa Fe  via the High Road to Taos (78 miles, GAS STOP). Back to Albuquerque (52 miles).

Thx for the invite but I have stuff to do sat....but the group of us plan to do the ride to Taos Sunday... So if your interested for another round of torture your welcome to join....

It's not clear from the post whether Garnier and company are riding Saturday or Sunday.  Which is it, G? 

I can't ride Saturday, but plan to get out Sunday.

Ok just so im clear on this, a location to meet up sunday morning is not set yet? If not, do we meet at the usual starbucks in bernalillo?

Sunday ride info and alternatives:    
1.  High Road to Taos, plus run to Mora and back (very lovely section of road).  Total, 340 miles, 8.5 hrs.   

2.  High Road to Taos only.  Total, 280 miles, 7 hrs.

3.  Tierra Amarilla route to Taos.   Total 400 miles, 10 hrs.

All of these are nice, but the 400 mile, 10 hr. choice may cross the pain threshold for Ducati riders.    

All routes assume Bernalillo Starbucks start at 8 AM.

So........ what's your choice?       ....... or do you have another route to offer?

How about a slightly earlier start than 8am? I'm down for 400 miles, but I'm guessing others might not.

I saw we got to Mora route as Matt as never been and we can take video....

Plus I think we should around 7-730 cause by 8 it's already getting pretty hot....

Im fine with however, wherever we go so long as we go somewhere, and 7a sounds good for a meet as well.

My thoughts on this:

The sooner we leave the better for the heat and also b/c it's a holiday wknd and travel options for other riders & cagers have been limited by the fires...  It may get crowded anywhere we go, BUT I'm totally F'n down for this!!!!
