Incase you did not know - Halfway house is gone.

yes thanks

was rare to buy fuel from the dodgey old pump at the halfway house

i rode a suzuki across a while back up there 6 litres at the halfway house and then another 8 at broke  [laugh] holding throttle wide open most of the way from putty road to broke causes problems with fuel consumption  [cheeky]
i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Putty is a great ride for a Sunday morning, I have been doing it twice a week since getting my bike back...

Colo heights servo is the usual breakfast spot, clouse and his misses do a good "big breakfast"

I hope I don't have to work so I can tag along

Well it seems that we haven't had too many dissenters ... so notwithstanding adverse weather conditions it looks like we might be on. Seems we should be able to make the requisite stops every 120kms or so.

Anybody care to nominate a start place and time?

Another couple of thoughts ...

. Many of us have never been a fan of the dirt leading into Wollombi ... we could avoid this by heading out to Cessnock from Broke
. This opens up some other options besides the pub at Wollombi for lunch ... maybe somwhere like Paxton (I think some people are still waiting for their lunch order to be filled from many rides ago)
. Then we will have the option of continuing through to Wollombi (preferred) or back to the freeway for a quicker trip home

Just thoughts of course, any views?

Perhaps we can do what we did last time and head into The Hunter for lunch.
Options are endless there, then we can head back to Wollombi and back down from there.

Starting point I'd say would be the same place we have met recently on the Bells run and myself and Gino (if coming)
can make a quick splash at Colo Heights or wherever the last fuel is before heading up Putty.

You may not be the only ones that need a top up ... just sayin'

But you're right plenty of lunch options ... just might need to venture from the well worn path.

Yep lots of places to eat in The Hunter.
So you're saying you might need a pre-fuel stop also, do you now have a 4V-er also?
Is that the "special" project you two have had up your sleeve.  ;)

Cats outta the bag now, start a thread and spill it!

Marty that sounds fine if you can map it on google and link it for us a starting point.

Here is the address for the servo, 362 Singleton Rd
Wilberforce‎ NSW‎ 2756...

OK we probably should try and firm things up a bit.

Meeting @ Rouse Hill ???
Can we agree on a time? May I suggest not too early as it has been a bit fresh recently.

+ there must be some more

I will accept that confirmations are weather dependent, but how about we start. This will allow us to make sure we each have a couple of numbers in our phones ... but you will be chasing those up on your own (just easier if you have a list to work to).

Plus if anybody has a suggestion for a lunch spot ... post away!
