All about the U

Okay, I know that your team is pretty good for the first time in a few years but you seriously aren't getting into the hype of this team and Jacory Harris are you?  No way is this team better than Florida not by a long shot.  The score didn't show it but the U got spanked by Wisconsin in the Champs Bowl last year.  They worked you in your own back yard.  You can't tell me that they're going to come into the Shoe against 105K rabid fans and win against a bigger, stronger and just as fast Buckeyes team.  Say what you want about Pryor but he learned not to make mistakes and throw bad balls when pressured, by the end of last year.  Harris not so much.

The Buckeyes D-line will be way ahead of anything Miami's seen and Harris will be on his back all game or throwing interceptions.  They also won't be able to stop our rushing attack, the Buckeyes have 5 backs that could start anywhere in the country. That's not to mention the other running back we have in Pryor.

I know, I know Miami's got the speed right? Well so did Oregon and ask them and their awesome offense what it feels like to play against a great Big Ten defense.  Everyone thought Oregon would score at will against OSU and if it wasn't for horrible return coverage they would have had 10pts.

Big lead up with lot's of excitement but will be a disappointing game for U fans.

No not what I meant  ;D  basically he is on loan from Ohio State.  Played here and was a captain his senior year.  I would say when Tressell is done in 4-5 it will either be him, Urban, or our co-defensive coord. Luke Fickell to take over.

As a Big Ten fan I am over the top excited to have Nebraska in the conference.  Ohio State and Nebraska are so similar and it will be great to see them play every year in the conference championship game.
How about you pick up a Stoops instead.  Same can't win the big one reputation as Tressel. He'd fit right in!  I'd like to hang onto Bo, but do thank you guys for training him up right. NU should have handed him the job when Solich was canned. Still not happy about losing him once.

As I see it OU has all the pressure to win that game. If the U loses then they lost to a better team, no big deal. But if they actually win, 105K rabid fans will sit in shocked silence and maybe realize that just maybe they are overrated.

Either SI or Sporting News had the U rated above all of the other Florida schools... Can't wait to watch them play.

Which means that either SI or Sporting News has had their water supply spiked with hallucinogenics :)

Florida is ranked highly, but no one expects 'huge things' from them, considering the Tebow-Hangover has begun. The defense will be stout, the O-line's got experience, and we're dripping (unproven) talent in the skill positions.

There's a brutal stretch in October where we play Bama, LSU, Miss State and South Carolina. If we can get through that with one loss, then we'll see you in Glendale!

Oh yeah, I'm a big ass homer  ;D  I love football and watch the NFL but nothing in the world is like College Football.  With the NFL you're a fan with College it's life.

Carlos- this is no Lesnar love ;D  I'll be the first to admit that the Buckeyes have benefitted by playing the in the Big Ten but this year we are not overrated.  We might lose to Wisconsin or Iowa but not Miami.  Randy Shannon can't hold Tressell's jock at coaching and I don't think anyone can argue with that.  I don't think the pressure is on OSU.  It's Miami that's still butt hurt about the NC game and this team knows that they are better than Miami and just need to go play their game. The pressure is really on Randy because the seat is starting to get very hot. They've never even been to a ACC title game while Tress has racked up 5 Big Ten titles in a row. Any way you want to spin it the ACC is no where near as good as the Big Ten. The game is one month aways so we'll see what happens.

Just go down through the individual units and you'll see that the Buckeyes are better in everything except maybe secondary and kick returns/coverage.  Miami's lines won't be able to compete with OSU's and that's where games are won.

Evo- I'm confused are you talking about Florida or Miami?  I think Brantley will do just fine this year and the Gators will be right in thick of the SEC title race and consequently the NC race. Meyer can coach.

Both!

SI or Sporting News ranking Miami over Florida could only be the result of extreme delusion ;)

Is that the year that the U will "be back" (again)?  [beer]

We all know that preseason polls are accurate right?

Where do the coaches and usa today have Miami?  Not ahead of Florida.

Florida- 3 Miami-13

Which one is used in the BCS?  So now who's drinking shroom coffee?  ;)

I am not even sure why they do it.

It gets all scrambled up after the first week anyway

except for Ohio State as their first few games are usually against powerhouse teams like Bowling Green or Youngstown State.

Funny how the last two years we played USC in the second week, the two years before that it was texas, the next two years are Miami, the two after that VT, and then Tenn.  Lots a cake walk teams there.  No Jud, OSU does it right.  Ask Florida about cake walk Septembers.
