I'm basking in the sun and enjoying it while i can.

Cal Bears roll over Colorado 52-7.
That makes two games, 2-0, combined score 104-10.
The schedule will defintely get tougher when conference play begins, so I hope this feeling will last well into the season.

Ciao!

I had tickets to the gun show so unfortunately saw only one quarter of the game.  UM looked solid though.  Pleasantly surprised!  Several returning players under Rod's coaching finally pulling it all together?  Plus, "fight or flight" kicking in?  Either way..it's good to see 2-0.  No matter how much I say I don't like football, I still enjoy a good UM game on a cool, autumn day.  Even though it was back in the triple digits.

tickets to the gun show?

WTF does that mean?

any gun show I have been to is 10$ in the door, day of event.

Discount tickets prior.  That place was ridiculous.  $10 to park and then..it said $14 at the booth but they charged an extra $1 "service fee".  $25 all together?!  What a rip off!

It's official:

Ohio State's defensive special teams suck.

Who gives up a kick off and a punt in the same game?

If Harris could throw the ball, Miami would have won.

Ohio State was not impressive and Pryor is not a top notch QB.
You must be blind ...........

OSU would have run back a kickoff for a TD if the runner doesn't trip over his team mate's foot as the team mate is cutting behind him.

Pryor won the game as much as anyone .

Miami scored 1 offensive TD.

If Pryor doesn't throw the ball on 3rd down near the end zone ..he can run it in no problem, another TD.

Pryor doesn't call the plays ....you know Tressell does unless it's a busted play , then Pryor takes off.

If the Dog hadn't stopped to take a shit ...the Rabbit wouldn't have got away !

Face it Juddddddddd........the better Team won !

After today's game.........I don't see OSU having any shot at the BSC Championship.

Sure they might make it there.........but they won't win.

How about Michigan?

They played great today.

I was forced (grab my arm) to go to a bar to watch side by side ND and OSU games.

Michigan looked good or ND just sucks.

Not sure which.
Last minute drive or UM looses.

Not a very impressive win.

Talented QB.

+1. Cal looked good against the Buffs. Hopefully they don't pack it in when they play Oregon or OSU.

Regarding the Miami OSU game:
Yes, the better team won.  Pryor is very lucky the Miami defenders dropped all those passes he threw to them.  Miami gave a good team too many 2nd chances and you can't do that.
The rest of the nation has seen OSU special teams completely suck 2 games in a row.  They have yielded 21 points on special teams. Championship teams don't do that.  As already stated, I expect OSU might make it to the NC, but it will be another embarrassing, humiliating loss.

The Ducks got off to a slow start but then crushed Tenn.  Rutgers squeaked one out against FIU.
If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you.  If you can't see Chuck Norris, you may be only seconds away from death.

Being 2nd isn't so bad.

If OSU makes it to the NC game and looses...... so what !

The SEC will always win that match up

Dolph.

The SEC is the BEST conference in the Country.

Yes, it is.  Some people around here have trouble admitting it.
Dolph, I think you are one of the first OSU fans I have interacted with who is realistic!!   [beer]

ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC! ACC!

Last Saturday the skies over Columbus darkened and Miami fans screamed button down the hatches here comes a hurricane.   Well that Hurricane turned out to be little more than a tiny downpour.  I wanted to rewatch the game before I posted so here are my thoughts.

Carlos and Jud-  Our running back QB had the same number of passing yards as Harris and 4 count em 4 less INTS.  You want to say that it wasn't Harris' fault but he was the guy throwing the ball.  If that is TP you guys are blamming him the whole way.  I'll give you the first one wasn't his fault because Barnett made one hell of a play on the ball and it fell right in Williams' hands.  The rest- all Harris, especially the back breaker by a 6'7" 300lb Heyward who almost ran it all the way back.  Pryor was also unstopable in the 4th when all Miami had to do was get the ball back to get it within one TD.  When your D knows he's getting the ball and taking off with it and can't stop him what does that say?

I was very impressed with Miami's d-line I thought they did fairly well in the first half against the run but Pryor had a monster 2nd qtr and we scored 23 pts.  Both teams controlled the line on d and we both agreed that would be the key and the team that made mistakes would lose- with 4 ints and a blocked kick your chances of winning is very low.  I thought the Buckeye d-line was very good in the second and third qtrs and Harris was obviously shaken up. Heacock turned the pressure way down in the 4th. Pryor was pressured and handled it well (yes we did get lucky on 2 maybe 3 balls he threw but our d capitalized while Miami's didn't) and was pretty much doing whatever he wanted on 3rd down runs (accounted for converting 6 3rd downs with his feet).  The series where he was 2 for 2 for 80yds and a TD was awesome and no way can Harris make that scramble and throw to Saine. Not many QBs in the country can. As to the speed debate I think this game and the Oregon game showed that at least defensively Ohio State has just as much speed as anyone.  Though I thought Miami's d was extremely fast in closing gaps to make tackles.

Obviously I'm not happy with the kick coverage but that will get fixed in the next 4 games (cake walk) more concerned with red zone td's and I felt Tress tried to get too cute with his play calling (too many 5 wide sets). Should have just had Pryor roll out and pass to the rb's.  Other than that the Buckeyes dominated all day.

I don't want to hear about officiating either-  the holding call on Posey for the first TD run by Herron was complete bull shit. Let's face it-Miami still had opportunities but an 8 minute drive in the 4th with no points killed them- along with a lot of sloppy penalties (I wonder if they still think the Horseshoe is not very loud-it was rocking) and you had no chance.

I will say this- while I read a lot of stupid comments and way to much hype by Miami fans on the Columbus Dispatch website I thought the fans that were at the game were awesome, loud, and gracious losers.  I did love the chants of "Where's your Swagger?" when the game was over.

Final note- say what you want about Tress but the man is classy and preaches it- We could have easily got another TD at the end of the game but took a knee 4 times.  Shannon and most other coaches wouldn't have done that.

Oh yeah- moving up a couple of spots? Didn't happen- now ranked 17th.  I do think Miami is a very good team and will win the ACC.

You were touting OSU's special teams all week.......and they sucked.

They would have crushed Miami if they wouldn't and given up those 14pts.

I still don't think pryor can throw the ball for shit.

I was saying that Miami has a great secondary/wr's and better special teams.  Everything else the Buckeyes are better.

Never once did I say that the Buckeyes have better special teams, in fact I stated multiple times that we would struggle there.
