So Im shopping for my riding jacket and I really love the look of this one. How is it safety wise? It reads to have all the CE protection in it. How about in the summer. It looks like it may be hot..

thoughts? anyone have one?

I have been lusting after that jacket. If it wasn't so freakin much I'd have it . It really looks cool. I'm sure it's top quality stuff. I heard that there leathers are made by Dianese but who knows. I'm sure it would be a warm jacket because it's full leather and not perforated. Hey ...at least you'd look cool.
I'm here to kick a*! and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of bubble gum.

I have also been wishing for that jacket. I'm 99% certain that it's made by Dainese even though I haven't seen one in person . No place has a size 60 and I have about 15 leather riding jackets now so I guess I can live without it for now, I'm sure it would be hot. Any black jacket is going to be hotter than a lighter cooler since it will absorb all sunlight. I just recently got a Dainese Santa Monica perforated leather Jacket in white from Moto Wheels . I figured being perfed and white it would stand the best chance of being not so hot. The Hi Tech surely is a great leather jacket other than the hot aspect IMHO.

cool. thanks for the replies.. I think it would be a bit warm as well. i may wait till fall and buy one. I have seen a few on ebay that are pre owned that go for around $300 you just need to find one in your size. I think i need to go by a dealership and try one on so i know what fits.

yeah, go try them on if you can.  Ducati stuff seems to run on the small size so you might need to bump up a notch or two.  I picked up a textile 80's logo jacket and the XXL fit me well - all my other jackets and 46(us)/XL.

And along the ebay lines - if you can wait Ducati changes their line about every year.  I picked up that 80's logo jacket over the winter from a moto shop selling on ebay, after the new line had come out.  It was brand new, but 'old stock' from the store.  The result was I snagged it for 1/3rd the original list price.

-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I'm look for a functional quality summer jacket and I'm thinking of this one.

That is an awsome jacket.  We make that one for Ducati along with most everything else, but we don't even have something like that in our line-up.

I really like that one as well, but it looks like it has cuffed sleaves. That sort of turns me off a bit. I picked up the Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket for hot weather.
