it was said with that look and in that tone that only women know how to use. you know the one that says...my suggestion to you is to agree! 10 years later i got a new bike.

You've choosen wisely grasshopper! I've been riding longer than my wife has been alive, she can fuss but it falls on deaf ears. Even the turkey encounter didn't help her cause. But I can easily see how having some young kiddos could alter your thinking while riding. Maybe a good thing. Might help cut down on the "hey, hold my beer and watch what I can do on my bike!" stuff. Not saying that's you, just a general thought.

I have two.  I love them something crazy.

But these last 3 years have aged me 10.

Thanks, guys.     I seriously appreciate all the kind words and encouragement.  My sister and her husband live in Lewisville, but the rest of my clan is in the New Orleans area...  Both of our moms are chomping at the bit to visit more often.  I've told them both that the guest bedroom is always open.  I think between the two of them (and the parade of aunts and cousins that are going to visit) and our friends, we'll be able to cope.

Now, the first step is to trade my 2-door car in for something with 4 doors.  My parents have offered us their minivan, but a man is nothing without his principles...
