Squeeeeee! Should have these installed in the next few days. So stoked.

I just ordered these and plan on installing them this weekend. Can someone tell me about how long it took and if it was difficult at all. I know Rizoma is notorious for their terrible instructions.

Raux, or anyone else that has the S&P passenger pegs, can you measure the distance from the seat (pillion area) to the pegs? I'm curious if the S&P pegs give the passenger more, less, or the same amount of leg room.

Speaking of passenger pegs, does anyone know of the M1100 EVO passenger pegs will fit the M696 or M1100?

Hi,

for the EVO rear pegs you will need the Evo rear frame and find a way to get your exhaust out of the way.

Be mindful of your thoughts. They'll betray you.

Wife says the pegs sit higher

So less leg room...bummer. Thanks for checking, Raux!

Bringing back an old thread here...

Anyone put the evo rearsets on a 696/1100? Looking to clean up the footrests, dont need passenger pegs or adjustability.

Parts look common on all monsters except the bracket and heel guards so all in $340 in parts. So cheaper than the aftermarket alternatives but you're getting less parts, adjustability and bling factor. I put together a parts list to order but havent pulled the trigger. Leftside plate (824.1.179.1A) and heel guard (460.1.449.1A). Rightside plate (824.1.178.1A) and heel guard (460.1.450.1A). Any thoughts?

go on ebay and find an evo owner selling it off

True. Unless I can find them cheap I may just go with the Woodcrafts since they're not that much more money and readily available at my local shop. How difficult are these to install? Do they come with decent instructions (w/ pictures :))?

I've spent some time at the local dealer staring at the 1100evo rearsets as an affordable change.
What I noticed was the 1100evo rearsets mount the brake master cylinder in a ~vertical position.  Stock 696 'rearsets' have the master cylinder horizontal.
Consequently, I think you need to change the brake pedal and hose between the master cylinder and reservoir as well (and perhaps the push rod between the pedal and master cylinder).

The concern I had is that the new master cylinder position may actually contact the double sided swing arm on the 696.  I haven't heard of anyone actually doing this conversion yet and don't know if it is a real issue or not.  I don't have parts on hand to measure b/c I would be really interested to know.

S&P passenger sets.

I REALLY want a set of these! I cant stand the chicken wings they have stock. I think these with a rizoma rearset would be great!

That's enough to spook me off the conversion. More parts to swap more money also, which makes the aftermarkets more attractive.

Anyone have an easy solution for the brake light using Woodcrafts?
