I suspect money/hookers/blow will change hands between Ducati/DORNA/FIM/MotoGP/Yamaha to get Rossi on the Duc at Valencia.

IMO, he's seen the last of the latest and greatest parts from Yamaha.
He's leaving the team for 2011, and he's out of the hunt for the championship, barring a disastrous turn of events for Lorenzo.
He's not going to tell Yamaha anything helpful about the bike.
They have no motivation to give him any good stuff.

I say...Rossi rides the duc at a secluded, private track for weeks after Valencia   [evil]

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

But more important, I can't think of anything stupider than giving Rossi even more motivation to make the beast with two backs your shit up.

[laugh]  yeah, exactly..

rough spot for yamaha really.  they need to (at least appear to) 'honor' valentino and what he has done for them and at the same time they need to start treating him like the gigantic threat that he is.
Like this is the racing, no?

what better way to treat him as a threat than to shortchange him on a few days of testing....

From a corporate beancounter perspective, he's been paid for what he has done for them.

Not letting him test is almost an admission that he could hurt Yamaha's chances in his first year.

Very un Furusawa like.

As always...we'll see.

yeah, but I am curious to see where the Ducati is/has gotten to in development at about this time next year, ESPECIALLY is Burgess comes aboard with the team....

i don't expect the 2011 bike is going to see much "big" development. most of that work has already been done.

the 2012 bike, on the other hand.. that one'll be built around rossi.
