Saw these and thought I'd give them a try.

They are thickly padded for and under garment and made of very nice Under Armour Fabric with in the case of the Top has special areas of different colored little ovals that supposedly help to keep the Top in place. ( plus they look pretty cool ! )

Top has Shoulder, Kidney, Rib and Spine padding.

The bottoms have Tail bone padding, Hip padding, 2 different thicknesses of padding .

General thickness , then in the center in red a double thick pad on the Hips.

They also have Thigh pads and a nice perforation in the crotch area.

Worn under and kind of leather or textile w, the traditional Armored areas should be adding a heightened degree of protection without adding any unnecessary bulk plus the advantage of the Under Armour moisture wicking properties.

The Bottoms have a waist band of 2" in width.

They retail for $79.99 each but I got them for $59.99 each from the Under Armour Outlet Store Online plus any order over $99 ships FREE.

I plan to wear these this weekend and will report on how they are for comfort .

I don't anticipate any problems as they are very soft.

Looks like what I wore for football. I bought a similar pair of shorts (adidas brand) and wear them under my draggin jeans. So far, so good, but I still hope to not field test them.

you know,...once you get past the steep (and painful) learning curve, you dont need all those pads to snowboard.

except maybe the knee pads.

I sure wouldn't know about snowboarding.....I'm just using them as a little more protection on the bike .

I wear Under Armour underwear anyway so why not add a little more protection under my leathers.

ManOrAstro-Man?

Are these Under Armour shorts made for motorcycling? Just wondering if they can handle sliding on the pavement.

I have a pair from Forcefield that I use when I ride.

For snowboarding, I have a pair from Red. Even though I rarely fall, I like to have them on in case I eat it on the jumps. And both the Forcefield and Red shorts are pretty comfortable.

I would say " not on their own ."

I wear them as underwear w, a pair of Crash Pads Underwear over them and a pair of Dainese Pro Shorts over the Crash Pads.

Then the leather pants over top of all of the above.

I believe they are meant to be worn under a Football Uniform or for Snow Boarding.
